Chlorophyll is one of the most important pigments in plants, and the measurement of chlorophyll levels enables real-time monitoring of plant growth, which is of great importance to the vegetation monitoring. Compared with the high cost and time-consuming operation of hyperspectral imaging technique, the spectral reflectance reconstruction technique based on RGB images has the advantages of being inexpensive and fast. In this study, using the example of ginkgo leaves, the spectra were reconstructed from red-green-blue (RGB) images taken by smartphones based on a back propagation (BP) neural network and pseudo-inverse method.

China, as a traditional patriarchal society, provides an excellent context to examine whether and how increased financial independence of women may influence intimate partner violence. This study examines how financial independence influences Chinese women's victimization experiences of physical violence, psychological violence, controlling behavior, and sexual abuse. Data were collected from 600 married or divorced women aged between 20 and 60, who resided in a large metropolitan area in Southern China.

The core-shell structured chitosan-polyethylene oxide@gelatin (CS-PEO@GEL) nanofibers which could form the intramolecular hydrogen bond and achieve an Arg-Gly-Asp (RGD) polymer were first prepared by coaxial electrospinning to mimic the extracellular matrix. To further enhance biological activity, hydroxyapatite (HAP) was grown on the surface of the CS-PEO@GEL nanofibers using chemical deposition and ZnO particles were then evenly distributed on the surface of the above composite materials using RF magnetron sputtering.

The terahertz (THz) band contains a wealth of information about vibration and rotational energy levels, most of the vibration modes between amino acid molecules are in the THz band, so it reflects many unique absorption characteristics in the THz band. The use of terahertz time-domain spectroscopy can not only effectively identify different kinds of amino acids but also distinguish various isomers of the same amino acid due to the varied vibration modes. The absorption spectra of four stereoisomers of threonine were investigated by terahertz time-domain spectroscopy (THz-TDS) and Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy.

The multiple diagnosis and treatment mechanisms of chemotherapy combined with photothermal/photodynamic therapy have very large application prospects in the field of cancer treatment. Therefore, in order to achieve effective and safe antitumour treatment, it is necessary to design an intelligent responsive polymer nanoplatform as a drug delivery system. Herein, the thermosensitive poly-N-isopropylacrylamide (PNIPAM) nanogel particles were prepared by soap-free emulsion polymerization and loaded with a large amount of photosensitizer indocyanine green (ICG) and anticarcinogen 5-fluorouracil (5-Fu), which effectively to realize the cooperative chemotherapy and photothermal/photodynamic therapy for tumours.
