Lymph node downstaging and the achievement of total-pCR (ypT0/is ypN0) after neoadjuvant therapy are of great importance in HER-2 positive breast cancer. We aim to provide an overall review of neoadjuvant regimens for lymph node downstaging and to indirectly compare the total-pCR by various neoadjuvant regimens with network meta-analysis in HER2-positive patients according to their clinical lymph node status. Five English databases were searched comprehensively and systematically for relevant RCTs and case-control studies.

Knee Osteoarthritis (KOA), is the most common joint disease worldwide. The pathogenesis of KOA is complex and electroacupuncture (EA) is an effective therapy for KOA, but the mechanism remains unclear. In this study, we aim to investigate the potential therapeutic effect of EA on the rat model of KOA induced by monosodium iodoacetate (MIA) and its relationship with NLRP3 inflammasome by immunohistochemistry and western blot.

Background: Self-disclosure may enhance positive illness perceptions, whereas patients with systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE) always facing negative illness perceptions due to multiple reasons, so elucidation of factors affecting self-disclosure may facilitate the development of quality of life.

Methods: A total of 161 hospitalized patients with SLE were recruited. Scales on demographic and clinical characteristics, self-disclosure, psychosocial status (e.

Objective: Our present study intended to examine the associations of RPEL1 and miR-1307 gene polymorphisms (rs4917385 and rs7911488) with susceptibility, glucocorticoids (GCs) efficacy, anxiety, depression, and health-related quality of life (HRQoL) in Chinese systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE) patients.

Methods: Initially, 1000 participants (500 SLE cases and 500 controls) were recruited for the case-control study. Then, 429 cases who received GCs were followed through 12 weeks to explore GCs efficacy, depression, anxiety, and HRQoL.

Background: ) participates in tumor resistance by playing the function of homologous recombination repair(HRR). However, the role of in non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) is still unclear. This study aims to understand the expression of in NSCLC and preliminarily explore its relationship with cisplatin resistance.

The mechanism of kidney injury in occupational medicamentosa-like dermatitis due to trichloroethylene exposure is not well understood. This study aimed to investigate the role of endothelin-1 (ET-1)/vascular endothelial-derived growth factor-A (VEGF-A) in trichloroethylene (TCE)-induced renal injury. Forty BALB/c female mice were used in this study to build the TCE-sensitization mouse model.

Triptolide (TP), the main active compound extracted from medicine- (TWHF). It has anti-tumor and immunomodulatory properties. Our study aimed to investigate the mechanisms of hepatotoxicity treated with TP as well as their relationship with the NF-κB (p65) signal pathway; and to assess TP-induced hepatotoxicity after CYP2E1 modulation by the known inhibitor, clomethiazole, and the known inducer, pyrazole.

Associations of Maternal Adverse Childhood Experiences with Behavioral Problems in Preschool Children.

J Interpers Violence

November 2022

Department of Maternal, Child & Adolescent Health, School of Public Health, 12485Anhui Medical University, Hefei, China.

Investigations have found maternal adverse childhood experiences (ACEs) cause an intergenerational danger to their children's health. However, no study has investigated the effects of maternal ACEs on behavioral problems of preschool children in China and gender differences on these effects. This paper aims to investigate the role of maternal ACEs on behavioral problems of preschool children in China and explore gender differences as related to these behavioral problems.

Article Synopsis
  • The study explores the role of long non-coding RNAs, specifically MALAT-1, in systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE) and examines the impact of certain SNPs on susceptibility to the disease.
  • A case-control study involving 489 SLE patients and 492 healthy individuals was conducted, focusing on four specific SNPs of the MALAT-1 gene.
  • The findings indicate that the rs4102217 SNP may decrease the risk of developing SLE, though no significant link was found between MALAT-1 polymorphisms and the clinical manifestations of SLE.

Upregulation of ETV2 Expression Promotes Endothelial Differentiation of Human Dental Pulp Stem Cells.

Cell Transplant

December 2021

Department of Orthodontics, Stomatologic Hospital & College, 12485Anhui Medical University, Key Lab of Oral Diseases Research of Anhui Province, Hefei, P. R. China.

The lack of vasculogenesis often hampers the survivability and integration of newly engineered tissue grafts within the host. Autologous endothelial cells (ECs) are an ideal cell source for neovascularization, but they are limited by their scarcity, lack of proliferative capacity, and donor site morbidity upon isolation. The objective of this study was to determine whether differentiation of human dental pulp stem cells (DPSCs) into the endothelial lineage can be enhanced by recombinant ETV2 overexpression.

The objective of this study was to investigate the between autophagy activity and local immune response in hypopharyngeal squamous cell carcinoma (HSCC). Herein, we observed the expression of autophagy marker microtubule-associated protein light chain 3B (MAP1LC3B), CD8 cytotoxic T lymphocytes (CTLs), CD39 (regulatory T cells Tregs) and CD163 (tumor-associated macrophages TAMs) in HSCC, and determined the prognostic roles of CD8/CD39 and CD8/CD163 in patients with HSCC. The expression of light chain 3B (LC3B) and CD8/CD39 was found to be significantly lower in HSCC tissues than in adjacent non-tumor mucosa tissue samples; LC3B expression was positively correlated with the infiltration rate of CD8/CD39 in HSCC.
