T-wave inversion in ECG is very frequent and concerning finding as it is often associated with life-threatening conditions. There are numerous conditions mentioned in the literature for transient T-wave inversion such as acute coronary syndrome, cardiac memory T-wave, subarachnoid hemorrhage, electroconvulsive therapy, hyperventilation and indeterminate origin. Hyperventilation is already known as a cause of transient T-wave inversion; however, it is often forgotten in modern clinical settings.

Background: The cytological diagnosis of poorly differentiated tumors is challenging because the tumor cells may have morphologically difficult presentations in materials obtained by fine-needle aspiration cytology (FNAC). With the application of FNAC in primary diagnosis of malignant lesions, there has been a significant increase in the use of ancillary studies in the aspirated material.

Pseudotumoral hepatic tuberculosis with pericardial abscess.

We report the postmortem findings in a 28-year-old immunocompetent male patient, a rare case of tuberculous liver abscesses with concomitant pericardial abscess in the absence of pleuropulmonary or splenic involvement, who continued to be a diagnostic dilemma. This case report illustrates the difficulty in reaching the correct diagnosis in case of hepatic masses, which are most often confused with carcinoma of the liver, primary or metastatic and, hence, have been aptly referred to as pseudotumoral hepatic tuberculosis in the past.
