Objectives: This study examined whether trajectories of depressive symptoms of one spouse are associated with the other spouse's memory.
Methods: Longitudinal data from the Health and Retirement Study (2004-2016) were used ( = 5690 heterosexual couples). Latent-class growth analysis and structural equation models examined the actor and partner effects of depressive symptom trajectories on memory.

Porcine astrovirus type 3 (PoAstV3) is an emerging virus in the family that has been recently associated with polioencephalomyelitis/encephalitis. Herein, we describe the experimental oral and intravenous inoculation of an infectious central nervous system (CNS) tissue homogenate containing PoAstV3 to cesarean-derived, colostrum-deprived pigs, and the subsequent development of clinical signs, histologic lesions, specific humoral immune response, and detection of viral particles by electron microscopy (EM) and viral RNA by RT-qPCR (reverse transcriptase quantitative polymerase chain reaction) and in situ hybridization (ISH). IgG against a portion of the PoAstV3 ORF2 capsid was first detected at 7 days post-inoculation (DPI) in 2 of 4 inoculated animals and in all inoculated animals by 14 DPI.

Purpose: The purpose of this article is to define design thinking, provide insights into how it may be integrated into the healthcare design process, and provide a checklist for future implementation.
Background: Design thinking is a collaborative method of inquiry that fosters innovative, team-generated solutions to complex scenarios, known as "wicked problems," that are extraordinarily difficult to solve. It is a practical tool in the toolbox of the codesign team, which includes the client and design professionals as primary stakeholders.

Background: The physical and social environments surrounding food, whether perceived or observed, can influence consumers' food choices by changing food access, and affordability, or by changing settings where food-related behaviors occur.
Aim: To describe older adults' perceived food environment, identify the most important sites and factors that enable healthy eating, and explore older adults' recommendations for communities to facilitate fruit and vegetable consumption.
Methods: Participants aged 60 and older from metropolitan areas in Massachusetts, Iowa, and Illinois completed a researcher-administered survey to rate the perceived environment including accessibility, availability, and affordability of fruits and vegetables, and perceived importance of factors and establishments related to fruit and vegetable consumption.
The study aimed to assess a new needle holder grip and head design on medical suturing quality and experience. Generally, suturing remained fundamentally unchanged since its invention, possessing high variability, discomfort, and can be moderately predictable. In this study, 2 grip designs (traditional holder grip and a new slightly curved crescent-shaped grip) and 2 head types (smooth vs knurled) were investigated resulting in 4 groups.
