Through an analysis of 2021 nationwide survey data of 18-35-year-old AAs, this study examines how the quality of family member interactions associates with changes in shared food purchasing, preparation, and consumption.

The Healthy Ageing Index (HAI) is a comprehensive measure of health, but there is limited research on its association with other age-related outcomes. Transgender women of color (TWOC) experience high rates of police violence and victimization compared to other sexual and gender minority groups, as well as compared to other White transgender and cisgender women. While past studies have demonstrated how frequent police harassment is associated with higher psychological distress, the effect of neighborhood safety and neighborhood police violence on TWOC's mental health is rarely studied. In this study, we examine the association between neighborhood safety and neighborhood police violence with psychological distress among TWOC.

The nexus between maternity care and bordering practices: A qualitative study of provider perspectives on maternal healthcare provision for Afghan women migrating through Serbia to Western Europe.

Serbia is a well-established transit country for Afghans travelling overland to seek protection in Western Europe, and Afghan women continue to experience pregnancy and birth during migration. This qualitative study aimed to explore the perspectives and experiences and of clinical and non-clinical perinatal care and support providers to Afghan women during migration through Serbia, using a critical border studies lens. Semi-structured interviews with 21 Serbia-based providers (conducted August 2021-October 2022 and analysed thematically) provided five inductive themes: (1) contours of life in Serbia for Afghan women; (2) providing maternity care and support to a highly mobile group; (3) enablers and barriers to accessing and using maternity care; (4) risks of onward migration; and (5) supporting women in a landscape of constant change.

Since nutrients rich in BSG can improve postprandial glycaemic response, this study assessed the postprandial glucose response (PPGR) and postprandial insulin response (PPIR) controlling effect of consuming 30% wheat flour substituted biscuits with autoclaved BSG (ABSG) or fermented BSG (FBSG) in individuals with metabolic syndrome (MetS).

Impact of COVID-19 national response on primary care utilisation in Singapore: an interrupted time-series analysis.

Since the start of the pandemic, many national responses, such as nationwide lockdowns, have been implemented to curb the spread of COVID-19. We aim to assess the impact of Singapore's national responses on primary care utilisation. We performed an interrupted time series using acute and chronic primary care data of 3 168 578 visits between 1 September 2019 and 31 August 2020 over four periods: before any measures were put in place, during Disease Outbreak Response System Condition (DORSCON) Orange, when Circuit Breaker was instituted, and when Circuit Breaker was lifted.

Purpose: Several studies have examined the relationship between sleep quality and health-related quality of life (HRQOL). However, there are a lack of generalizable data on this association in Singapore. Our study aimed to (1) investigate the association between sleep quality and HRQOL and (2) examine whether age moderated these associations.
