Arsenic, a surreptitious presence in our environment, perpetuates a persistent global menace with its deleterious impacts. It possesses the capability to trigger substantial immunosuppression by instigating inflammation in critical organs like the thymus and spleen. L-Ascorbic acid (L-AA) exhibits robust immunoregulatory prowess by orchestrating the epigenetic terrain through TET and JHDM pathways.

Unlabelled: Dengue virus, an arbovirus of genus Flavivirus, is an infectious disease causing organisms in the tropical environment leading to numerous deaths every year. No therapeutic is available against the virus till date with only symptomatic relief available. Here, we have tried to design therapeutic compounds from scratch by fragment based method followed by pharmacophore based modelling to find suitable similar structure molecules and validated the same by MD simulation, followed by binding energy calculations and ADMET analysis.

Remediating hexavalent chromium [Cr(VI)] from contaminated water systems is a significant concern due to its harmful effects on human health, aquatic life, and plants. To tackle this issue, scientists have created a chitosan cross-linked hydrous ceria incorporated cupric oxide bio-polymeric composite (CHCCO) by combining chitosan biopolymer with corresponding metal ions using glutaraldehyde as a cross-linker. The composite was characterized using advanced analytical instruments such as FTIR, p-XRD, SEM, XPS, etc.

Dengue fever is a serious health hazard on a global scale and its primary causative agent is the dengue virus (DENV). The non-structural protein 1 (NS1) of DENV plays a pivotal role in pathogenesis. It is associated with several autoimmune events, endothelial cell apoptosis, and vascular leakage, which increase mainly during the critical phase of infection.

The Drosophila egg chamber (EC) starts as a spherical tissue at the beginning. With maturation, the outer follicle cells of EC collectively migrate in a direction perpendicular to the anterior-posterior axis, to shape EC from spherical to ellipsoidal. Filamentous actin (F-actin) plays a significant role in shaping individual migratory cells to the overall EC shape, like in every cell migration.

Dengue virus (DENV) is the leading cause of numerous deaths every year due to its high infectivity. In this study we have tried to target the DENV envelope protein receptor binding domain, the region crucial for binding to host receptors which leads to membrane fusion and entry of the viral genome into the human host cell. We have taken 13 known FDA approved antiviral therapeutic antibodies from therapeutic antibody database and tried to repurpose them against the DENV envelope protein.

Nodularin is a potent cyanotoxin that has been detected in aquatic environments as well as in the body of aquatic organisms throughout the world, but its effects on the reproductive system are yet to be explored. The present study investigated the toxic effects of environmentally relevant concentrations of nodularin on the reproductive endocrine system of female zebrafish (Danio rerio). After exposure to nodularin for 14 days, decreased gonadosomatic Index (GSI), germinal vesicle breakdown (GVBD), and decreased level of follicle-stimulating hormone (FSH), luteinizing hormone (LH), 17β-estradiol (E2) level and increased testosterone (T) content in female zebrafish suggested that nodularin may disrupt both oocyte growth and maturation.

Background: TRAIL protein on binding to its cognate death receptors (DR) can induce apoptosis specifically in breast tumor cells sparing normal cells. However, TRAIL also binds to decoy receptors (DCR) thereby inhibiting the apoptotic pathways thus causing TRAIL resistance. Also, one of the barriers due to which TRAIL-based therapy could not become FDA-approved might be because of resistance to therapy.

The rodent-borne Arenavirus in humans has led to the emergence of regional endemic situations and has deeply emerged into pandemic-causing viruses. Arenavirus have a bisegmented ambisense RNA that produces four proteins: glycoprotein, nucleocapsid, RdRp and Z protein. The peptide-based vaccine targets the glycoprotein of the virus encountered by the immune system.

HIV-1 Vpr is a multifunctional accessory protein consisting of 96 amino acids that play a critical role in viral pathogenesis. Among its diverse range of activities, Vpr can create a cation-selective ion channel within the plasma membrane. However, the oligomeric state of this channel has not yet been elucidated.

Dengue virus, an arbovirus, leads to millions of infections every year ultimately leading to a high rate of mortality. Highly effective and specific therapeutic option is not available till date to combat viral infection. One of the first stages in the virus lifecycle encompasses the viral entry into the host cell which is mediated by the interaction between heparan sulphate and the Dengue virus envelope protein in turn leading to the interaction between the envelope protein receptor binding domain and host cell receptors.

Exclusive C-donating ligands are rarely used with kinetically labile heavier alkaline earths (Ca, Sr, Ba). We report herein the aptitude of a combination of NHC with fluorenyl connected by a flexible -(CH)- linker as a ligand support for heteroleptic Ca- and Sr-N(SiMe) and iodides. The Ca-N(SiMe) complex even catalyzes the intramolecular hydroamination of aminoalkenes to showcase the effectiveness of this ligand framework.

Chordoma is a rare form of bone cancer develops in the spinal cord and skull. Instead of conventional (radio/chemotherapies) and targeted therapies, the disease is associated with high rate of recurrence and poor patient survival. Thus, for better disease management, the molecular pathogenesis of chordoma should be studied in detail to identify dysregulated biomolecules that can be targeted by novel therapeutics.

Anionic donor-functionalized NHC (N-heterocyclic carbene) complexes of Al are rare. We report one such case here, an NHC-aryloxido AlMe complex [Al(L)Me] (2), following a stepwise synthesis from the proligand [O-4,6-Bu-CH-2-CH{C(NCHCHNAr)}]Br [LBr; Ar = 2,6-Pr-CH (Dipp)] and AlMe the zwitterionic intermediate [Al(L)MeBr] (1). The ligand's flexibility in 2 is evident from the conformational fluxionality revealed by VT-H NMR spectroscopic analysis.

Multi-exponential waiting-time distribution and randomness parameter greater than unity ascribe dynamic disorder in single-enzyme catalysis corroborated to the interplay of transforming conformers [English , , 2006, , 87]. The associated multi-state model of enzymatic turnovers with statically heterogeneous catalytic rates misdescribes the non-linear uprising of the randomness parameter from unity in relation to the attributes of the fall-offs of the waiting-time distribution at different substrate concentrations. To resolve this crucial issue, we first employ a comprehensive stochastic reaction scenario and further rationalize and work out the minimal indispensable dynamic-disorder model that ensures the foregoing relationship upon comparison with the data.
