The aim of this study was to investigate the feasibility of transferring the free flow-through dorsoulnar perforator flap to reconstruct severely injured fingers. From January 2015 to March 2019, 16 patients, 16 thumb or fingers volar partial defects concomitant with segmental digital arterial defects, were included in this study. The flow-through dorsoulnar perforator flaps were used to repair the finger wounds and reconstruct digit arteries.

Considering the controversial issue of whether MSC therapy is effective in the treatment of multiple sclerosis, it is important to seek more powerful data to clarify the effect of MSCs. B7-H4 is a unique costimulatory molecule that belongs to the B7 ligand family and is broadly expressed in both lymphoid and non-lymphoid tissues. Previous studies have shown that B7-H4 is involved in regulating the progression of autoimmune diseases.

Objective: To study the discrepancy of the insulin sensitivity alteration pattern, circulating fibroblast growth factor (FGF21) levels and FGF21 signaling in visceral white adipose tissue (vWAT) of gestational diabetes mellitus (GDM) subtypes.
Methods: 26 GDM women with either a predominant of insulin-secretion defect (GDM-dysfunction, n = 9) or insulin-sensitivity defect (GDM-resistance, n = 17) and 13 normal glucose tolerance (NGT) women scheduled for caesarean-section at term were studied. Blood and vWAT samples were collected at delivery.

Objective: To explore the effect of individualized blood pressure (BP)-lowering treatment on the outcomes of elderly patients with severe intracerebral hemorrhage (ICH).
Methods: We performed an exploratory analysis of Controlling Hypertension After Severe Cerebrovascular Event (CHASE) trial, which was a multicenter, randomized, controlled clinical trial. Patients with severe ischemic or hemorrhagic stroke (defined as GCS ≤ 12 or NIHSS ≥ 11) were randomized into individualized versus standard BP-lowering treatment in CHASE trial.

Compound opioid analgesics (COA) are widely used for cancer pain relief, but few studies investigated the use of that. We aimed to report the characteristics and trend of COA consumption in different regions and health facilities in China. The procurement data of two types of COA, compound codeine phosphate (CCP) and oxycodone and acetaminophen (OAA), in all medical institutions of 20 provinces from 2015 to 2018 were used.

Objective: This study was designed to explore the diagnostic value of multi-slice spiral CT (MSCT) scanning in lung compression ratio of patients with pulmonary contusion complicated by pneumothorax or hydropneumothorax.
Methods: Seventy-eight patients with pulmonary contusions complicated by pneumothorax or hydropneumothorax treated in the Department of Emergency Surgery of our hospital were examined by CT and X-ray, and the diagnostic value of these two methods was observed. The correlation of lung compression ratio measured by multiplanar reconstruction (MPR) and volume rendering (VR) with W/D ratio was studied, and the formula between VR-measured lung compression ratio and W/D ratio was constructed using a one-variable linear regression equation.

Background: Recent studies indicate that androgen deprivation therapy (ADT), the main therapeutic approach for metastatic prostate cancer (PCa), accelerates PCa invasion and metastasis. Annexin A1 (ANXA1) is a Ca-regulated phospholipid-binding protein that can promote PCa migration and invasion.
Aim Of The Study: The aim of this study is to determine whether ANXA1 is regulated by ADT and participates in PCa progression after ADT, and to explore the possible mechanism of ANXA1-mediated PCa migration.

Background: This study was to explore the influencing factors of atherosclerotic plaque formation and stability in patients with asymptomatic carotid atherosclerotic plaques, so as to identify the vulnerable plaques at early stage, and then find high-risk group of cardio-cerebrovascular events for early clinical intervention to reduce related mortality and disability.
Methods: A total of 302 enrolled patients with asymptomatic carotid atherosclerotic plaques were divided into 3 groups based on the results of carotid artery color Doppler ultrasound: atherosclerotic unstable plaque (UP) group, atherosclerotic stable plaque (SP) group, and control group without plaques. Serum markers were measured by ELISA.
