Background: The American Heart Association recently introduced a new model for cardiovascular health (CVH) known as Life's Essential 8 (LE8). The impact of LE8 on hypertensive individuals is currently unclear. In our study, we investigated the correlation between comprehensive and individual CVH indicators as defined by LE8, and the mortality rates in hypertension patients.

Background: Intrahepatic cholangiocarcinoma (ICC) has a poor prognosis and is understudied. Based on the clinical features of patients with ICC, we constructed machine learning models to understand their importance on survival and to accurately determine patient prognosis, aiming to develop reference values to guide physicians in developing more effective treatment plans.

Methods: This study used machine learning (ML) algorithms to build prediction models using ICC data on 1,751 patients from the SEER (Surveillance, Epidemiology, and End Results) database and 58 hospital cases.

Objective: To evaluate the effectiveness of biofeedback therapy in the rehabilitation of limb motor dysfunction after stroke and the factors influencing disease-related shame.

Methods: Medical records of 118 patients with limb motor dysfunction after stroke, treated in 521 Hospital of the Norinco Group from October 2019 to November 2022, were collected. The 56 patients in control group received conventional rehabilitation training, while the other 62 patients in observation group received electromyographic biofeedback therapy in addition to conventional treatment.

Objectives: Serum cystatin C (Cys C) and blood lipid levels are related to the occurrence and development of chronic heart failure (CHF). However, there are few reports on the correlation between blood lipid level and serum Cys C level in patients with CHF.
