This case report shed light on a particularly rare manifestation of this disease-primary gastrointestinal tuberculosis (GTB) presenting as gastric outlet obstruction. GTB presents diagnostic challenges due to its nonspecific symptoms and lack of highly accurate diagnostic algorithms.

This study aimed to compare the bond strength of a fiber-reinforced composite resin with traditional and bulk-fill composite resins under different dentin conditions and preparation techniques. Comparison of the effect of uric acid/albumin ratio on coronary slow flow with other inflammation-based markers.

Many inflammation-based markers (IBMs) have been shown to be closely related to coronary slow flow (CSF), but the effect of the uric acid/albumin ratio (UAR) on CSF and its relationship with other IBMs are not clearly known. In this study, we aimed to compare the effects of UAR and other IBMs on CSF. After the exclusion criteria, 126 patients with CSF detected on coronary angiography and 126 subjects with normal coronary flow as the control group were included in the study.

The relationship between blood biochemical parameters and oral health in children with obesity/overweight.

Aim The purpose of this study was to evaluate the effects of obesity and overweight on the oral/dental health and blood biochemistry parameters in children.Methods A total of 87 children (29 boys, 58 girls) aged 1-18 presenting to our paediatric endocrinology outpatient clinic were included in the study. The patient group consisted of children with obesity/overweight and the control group consisted of children with normal weight.

The goal of the present study was to assess the association between plasma levels of HPA and LA/LAA thrombus in AF.

Consensus clinical management guidelines for Alström syndrome.

Alström Syndrome (ALMS) is an ultra-rare multisystem genetic disorder caused by autosomal recessive variants in the ALMS1 gene, which is located on chromosome 2p13. ALMS is a multisystem, progressive disease characterised by visual disturbance, hearing impairment, cardiomyopathy, childhood obesity, extreme insulin resistance, accelerated non-alcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD), renal dysfunction, respiratory disease, endocrine and urologic disorders. Clinical symptoms first appear in infancy with great variability in age of onset and severity.

Objective: Periodontitis may stimulate infectious and immune response and cause the development of atherogenesis, coronary heart disease, and myocardial infarction. The aim of this study was to compare the plateletcrit (PCT) and mean platelet volume (MPV) levels derived from complete blood count (CBC) tests in patients suffering from stage 3 periodontitis with those of healthy individuals without periodontal disease.

Methods: The study included 57 patients (28 females and 29 males) with Stage 3 Periodontitis and 57 volunteering individuals (31 females and 26 males) who were periodontally healthy.

Objective: To compare the complete blood counts, namely the plateletcrit (PCT) and Platelet-To-Lymphocyte Ratio (PLR) of healthy subjects and those with morbid obesity in the young population.

Methods: We included 45 patients with morbid obesity (body mass index -BMI - greater than or equal to 45 kg/m2) and 45 healthy subjects (BMI less than or equal to 25 kg/m2) in our study. Blood samples were obtained from the participants following a 12-hour fasting period.
