  • The Sysmex Coagulation System-2500 (CS-2500) is an automated analyzer that evaluates coagulation tests like prothrombin time (PT) and activated partial thromboplastin time (aPTT) using optical methods.
  • The study compared the CS-2500's performance with the STA-Compact analyzer by examining precision, accuracy, and reference ranges, finding that the CS-2500 had a coefficient of variation of less than 3.5% and less than 9.9% bias in accuracy.
  • Although the CS-2500 showed good agreement with the STA-Compact, slight differences were noted, suggesting that future standardization could help harmonize reference ranges across both systems.
