Psychogenic non-epileptic seizures (PNES) are episodic events that bear a resemblance to epileptic seizures (ES) in their outward manifestations, yet they lack pathological electroencephalographic (EEG) activity during the ictal phase. In the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual 5th Edition (DSM-5), PNES is designated as "Functional Neurological Symptom Disorder with seizures". Individuals diagnosed with PNES commonly present with concurrent psychiatric disorders, notably depression, panic disorder, and chronic anxiety.

In rat models, it is well-documented that chronic administration of propionic acid (PPA) leads to autism-like behaviors. Although the intranasal (IN) insulin approach is predominantly recognized for its effects on food restriction, it has also been shown to enhance cognitive memory by influencing various proteins, modulating anti-inflammatory pathways in the brain, and reducing signaling molecules such as interleukins. This study seeks to explore the potential therapeutic benefits of IN insulin in a rat model of autism induced by PPA.

Spinal bone lesions encompass a wide array of pathologies, spanning from benign abnormalities to aggressive malignancies, such as diffusely localized metastases. Early detection and accurate differentiation of the underlying diseases is crucial for every patient's clinical treatment and outcome, with radiological imaging being a core element in the diagnostic pathway. Across numerous pathologies and imaging techniques, deep learning (DL) models are progressively considered a valuable resource in the clinical setting.

Purpose: To evaluate whether unrepaired interportal capsulotomy presents with capsular defect on magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) 5 years after primary hip arthroscopy and to determine its effect on functional results and findings of osteoarthritis on radiographs or MRI scans.
Methods: Patients with femoroacetabular impingement (without arthritis or dysplasia) were retrospectively reviewed after arthroscopic labral repair or debridement and femoroplasty through interportal capsulotomy without closure. Patients were assessed preoperatively and at a minimum of 5 years postoperatively using patient-reported outcomes (Hip Outcome Score-Activities of Daily Living scale, modified Harris Hip Score, and visual analog scale pain score), radiographic measures, and MRI scans.

Cardiovascular diseases (CVDs) are one of the major causes of death globally. In addition to traditional risk factors such as unhealthy lifestyles (smoking, obesity, sedentary) and genetics, common environmental exposures, including persistent environmental contaminants, may also influence CVD risk. Per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFASs) are a class of highly fluorinated chemicals used in household consumer and industrial products known to persist in our environment for years, causing health concerns that are now linked to endocrine disruptions and related outcomes in women, including interference of the cardiovascular and reproductive systems.

There is no consensus on whether cardiac troponins with high reliability values should be different diagnostic criteria for acute myocardial infarction in patients with and without renal dysfunction. Although it is often emphasized that the etiology of elevated troponin levels in chronic kidney disease (CKD) remains unclear, elevated cardiac troponin (cTnT) levels have been associated with increased subclinical cardiac damage in these patient groups. In this study, we investigated the value of cTnT value in diagnosing acute coronary syndrome in CKD patients with high clinical suspicion of acute coronary syndrome and without acute ST segment elevation on electrocardiogram.
