This study aimed to explore the factors influencing self-management in depression patients from the perspectives of both patients and psychiatric nurses.

Methods: Six depression patients and twelve psychiatric nurses were chosen for semi-structured interviews through a purposive sampling method from a tertiary Grade A psychiatric hospital in Shandong Province, China.

We present ActMAP, a framework for quantifying multiple aspects of activity spaces from distinct trips and stays derived from GPS data. We applied ActMAP to data from 238 pregnant women in Barcelona, Spain (2018-2020) and explored weekday, weekend and intraday associations between pregnancy trimester and activity spaces.

The effect of high-fiber diet based on gut microbiota in patients with chronic heart failure.

This research explored the effect of high-fiber diet based on gut microbiota on chronic heart failure (HF) patients. Chronic HF patients, who had undergone a dietary survey indicating a daily dietary fiber intake of less than 15g/d were divided into the control and study groups (n = 50). In addition to conventional heart failure treatment, the study group received dietary guidance, while the control group did not receive any dietary guidance and maintained their usual low-fiber dietary habits.

Blood flow restriction-enhanced platelet-rich plasma: A pilot randomised controlled trial protocol.

Purpose: To assess platelet-rich plasma (PRP) changes in platelet and leucocyte count, insulin-like growth factor 1 (IGF-1), and interleukin 6 (IL-6) concentration after bilateral low-load knee extensions under blood flow restriction (BFR).

Methods: The present randomised controlled trial protocol will include two groups: the intervention group, which will undergo bilateral knee extensions under BFR, and the control group, which will perform bilateral knee extensions without BFR. Participants will be randomly allocated in a 1:1 ratio.

Methods: This retrospective cohort study was conducted at Shanghai New International Expo Center shelter hospital in China between April 1 and May 30, 2022. Patients diagnosed as COVID-19 with persistently positive SARS-CoV-2 reverse transcription-polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR) test results for ⩾8 days after diagnosis were enrolled.

Paraneoplastic syndrome with intestinal pseudo-obstruction in a patient with small cell lung carcinoma: a case report and literature review.

Paraneoplastic chronic intestinal pseudo-obstruction (CIPO) is a rare manifestation associated with small cell lung carcinoma and other malignancies. In this report, we present a challenging case involving a 60-year-old man with small cell lung carcinoma who developed symptoms of intestinal pseudo-obstruction, including abdominal distention, pain, and obstipation. Despite receiving extensive treatment with intravenous gamma globulin and glucocorticoids, the patient's symptoms did not improve, ultimately resulting in irreversible nervous system damage.
