Context: The covalent acetylation and deacetylation of histone proteins by the histone deacetylase (HDAC) enzymes can be considered a novel therapeutic target in prostate cancer (PCa) cells. Sodium butyrate (NaBu) is a HDAC inhibitor (HDACi) which is a promising potential anticancer drug. Toll-like receptor 4 (TLR4) expression is increased in PCa cells and HDACi alter TLR-inducible gene expressions.

The leading mechanism causing azole resistance in is the Y132F codon alteration in the ERG11 gene which encodes the target enzyme of azole drugs. In this study, we evaluated the sensitivity, compatibility, and specificity of a novel tetra-primer amplification refractory mutation system-polymerase chain reaction (T-ARMS-PCR) method for rapid detection of the Y132F mutation in fluconazole nonsusceptible Antifungal susceptibility tests for detection of fluconazole resistance were performed by broth microdilution according to the CLSI guidelines.

Introduction: Familial Mediterranean Fever (FMF) is the most common autoinflammatory disease that has mainly been treated with colchicine since 1972. A significant portion of patients do not respond to colchicine and require further treatment, mainly IL-1β antagonists such as anakinra, canakinumab and rilonacept as IL-1β has a crucial role in pathogenesis of FMF. This review summarizes the current approach to treating FMF and discovers the pharmacological and clinical utility of IL-1 blocking agents based on accumulated evidence with a focus on anakinra.

Introduction: Late-onset hypogonadism is the clinical entity characterised by low testosterone concentrations associated with clinical symptoms in the absence of organic disease in ageing men. It has been associated with metabolic syndrome, reduced bone mineral density, and increased cardiovascular morbidity and mortality risk. Although testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) reverses most of these conditions in young hypogonadal men, the risk/benefit ratio of TRT in older men is debatable.
