Purpose: Sodium-glucose co-transporter-2 inhibitor (SGLT-2i) administration is associated with some concerns in regard to the increased risk of genital and urinary tract infections (UTI) in kidney transplant recipients (KTR). In this study, we present the results of SGLT-2i use in KTR, including the early post-transplant period.
Methods: Participants were divided into two groups: SGLT-2i-free diabetic KTR (Group 1, n = 21) and diabetic KTR using SGLT-2i (Group 2, n = 36).

Methods: The patients with idiopathic IMH who had undergone vitreoretinal surgery and followed up for at least 12 months post-operatively were included. First the posterior hyaloid was detached, then cortical vitreous was removed incompletely by leaving anterior vitreous intact.

The aim of this study was to compare the lamina cribrosa morphology of the optic nerve in idiopathic intracranial hypertension (IIH) and healthy individuals.
Methods: The lamina cribrosa morphology of optic nerve in 15 eyes with IIH and 17 eyes of healthy individuals were compared.

Population studies revealed that metal exposure through food, environment, and smoking was related with increased risk of cardiovascular disease. In this study, we determined complex chemical elements in surgical carotid endarterectomy specimens and carotid tissues from autopsies without atherosclerosis. Atherosclerotic plaques from 41 endarterectomies and normal carotid tissue from 30 autopsies were collected and elemental composition was determined by inductively coupled plasma optical emission spectrometry (ICP-OES) method.

Purpose: Advanced gastric cancer (AGC) has a dismal prognosis. Platin-5-fluorouracil (CF) combination chemotherapy is the most widely used protocol and addition of a taxane (TCF) seems to increase survival and toxicity rates. We aimed to evaluate efficacy and toxicity of TCF as compared to CF in patients older than 65 years and compare them with the patients younger than 65 years.
