Background: Conflicts of interest (COIs) of contributors to a guideline project and the funding of that project can influence the development of the guideline. Comprehensive reporting of information on COIs and funding is essential for the transparency and credibility of guidelines.

Objective: To develop an extension of the Reporting Items for practice Guidelines in HealThcare (RIGHT) statement for the reporting of COIs and funding in policy documents of guideline organizations and in guidelines: the RIGHT-COI&F checklist.

The Impact of Acute Peri-operative Particulate Matter Exposure on Endoscopic Sinus Surgery Outcomes: A Preliminary Multi-site Investigation.

Background: Environmental exposures have been postulated to play an important role in the pathophysiology of chronic rhinosinusitis (CRS). Particulate matter (PM) is one of the most widely studied ambient air pollutants, but its peri-operative impact on CRS is unknown.

Objective: To determine the effect of acute, peri-operative PM exposure on outcomes after endoscopic sinus surgery (ESS).

Long chain 3-hydroxyacyl-CoA dehydrogenase (LCHADD) is the only fatty acid oxidation disorder to develop a progressive chorioretinopathy resulting in vision loss; newborn screening (NBS) for this disorder began in the United States around 2004. We compared visual outcomes among 40 participants with LCHADD or trifunctional protein deficiency diagnosed symptomatically to those who were diagnosed via NBS or a family history. Participants completed ophthalmologic testing including measures of visual acuity, electroretinograms (ERG), fundal imaging, contrast sensitivity, and visual fields.

Long-Term Safety and Efficacy of Mavacamten in Symptomatic Obstructive Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy: Interim Results of the PIONEER-OLE Study.

Background: The phase 2 PIONEER-HCM (Phase 2 Open-label Pilot Study Evaluating Mavacamten in Subjects With Symptomatic Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy and Left Ventricular Outflow Tract Obstruction) study showed that mavacamten improved left ventricular outflow tract gradients, exercise capacity, and symptoms in patients with obstructive hypertrophic cardiomyopathy (HCM), but the results of longer-term treatment are less well described. We report interim results from the PIONEER-OLE (PIONEER Open-Label Extension) study, the longest-term study of mavacamten in patients with symptomatic obstructive HCM.

Background And Objectives: Two exploratory 6-month pilots of triadic walking with culturally celebratory social reminiscence in gentrifying neighborhoods tested feasibility and health impact among normal and mildly cognitively impaired (MCI) older Black adults.

Research Design And Methods: Fourteen triads walked 1-mile 3×/week, using a navigational application with image-based reminiscence prompts. Focus groups evaluated perceived health impact and experience.
