Aneurysm of Aortic sinus of Valsalva (ASOV) dissecting into the interventricular septum (IVS) and rupturing into the left ventricle (LV) is a rare clinical diagnosis. Systemic inflammatory diseases like tuberculosis can aggravate this condition. We describe three cases of ASOV dissecting into the IVS and rupturing into the LV.

Skin adnexal or sweat gland neoplasms are rare adnexal tumors that pose a diagnostic challenge for both ophthalmologists and pathologists. Endocrine mucin-producing sweat gland carcinoma (EMPSGC) is an uncommon low grade carcinoma of eccrine ducts with a predilection to occur in the periocular region in the elderly female. We present a rare case of 65-year-old healthy male who presented with a lobulated mass in the left eye lower lid, clinically suspected as sebaceous gland carcinoma, diagnosed as endocrine mucin-producing sweat gland carcinoma histopathologically.

Introduction: Coronary artery disease (CAD) is the foremost single cause of mortality and loss of disability-adjusted life years globally and a large percentage of this burden is found in low and middle income countries, with the treatment strategies based on revascularisation, based on studies that have shown that on revascularisation of viable myocardium there is an improvement of function over a period of time.
Aim: To evaluate the utilization of myocardial perfusion imaging (MPI) for identifying viable myocardium and assessing the improvement.
Material And Methods: This prospective observational study was conducted in patients having CAD planned for coronary artery bypass grafting.

Left-handed individuals consist of around 11% of the population and true ambidextrous consists of only 2-3% of the total population. Almost a similar ratio is seen in medical profession also. Difficulties are obvious for left-handed cardiac surgeons in the operating room due to regular right-handed instruments, laterality, and positioning of the patients.

Background: Lung recruitment techniques are employed to help in improvement of pulmonary mechanics, facilitate early weaning, and shorten the duration of mechanical ventilation. We are reporting a novel lung recruitment technique employed in four children with left lung atelectasis, who underwent corrective surgery for congenital heart disease.
Materials And Methods: From January 2020 to March 2021, four pediatric cardiac patients having left lung atelectasis, undergoing corrective surgery were subjected to lung recruitment technique and had elective endobronchial intubation and suctioning with chest physiotherapy in the form of vibration and percussion.

Design: A randomized, prospective study.
Participants: A total of 50 adult patients (18-50 years old) undergoing minimally invasive cardiac surgery via thoracotomy.

Background: With COVID-19 cases rising, despite CT chest being of value in diagnosis and prognostication in COVID-19, its role in mild or asymptomatic suspected COVID-19, before RT-PCR test is lacking.
Method: This is a retrospective observational study involving asymptomatic or mildly symptomatic clinically suspected COVID-19 infection in a high endemicity area. Of 2532 HRCT chest database, 376 eligible cases were analyzed for clinico-radiological correlation for CT findings based CORADS and CT severity score between positive vs negative group.
Takotsubo syndrome(TTS) is attributed to catecholamine surge, which is also observed in COVID-19 disease due to the cytokine storm. We performed a systematic literature search using PubMed, Embase, and the Cochrane Central Register of Controlled Trials retrospectively to identify COVID-19-associated TTS case reports and evaluated patient-level demographics, laboratory markers clinical attributes, treatment given, and outcomes. There are 27 cases reported of TTS associated with COVID-19 infection of which 44.

Myxomas are the most common primary intra-cardiac tumors in adults. Myxoma occurring in a preschooler is very rare, and cardiac surgery in acute stroke is a challenging decision. We present a rare case of acute cardio-embolic stroke in a 3-year-old child due to left atrial myxoma which was successfully treated.

Truncus arteriosus (TA) or common arterial trunk is a congenital cardiac anomaly having high association with arch anomalies such as right aortic arch or aortic arch interruption. However, TA with double aortic arch (DAA) is a rare occurrence. We report a case of TA with DAA where the diagnosis of DAA was missed initially.

Anomalous origin of the left coronary artery (LCA) from the right pulmonary artery (ALCARPA) is an extremely rare subset of an already rare entity, anomalous origin of the LCA from the pulmonary artery. Whenever it is diagnosed preoperatively, one should be extremely vigilant about the potential intramural course of the descending part of the LCA in the aorta. Preoperative imaging frequently fails to delineate this intramural course.

Objective: The giant left atrium is a frequent finding with rheumatic heart disease. The enlarged left atrium was found to be a risk factor for early mortality and postoperative higher thromboembolic events, but its management remains controversial. Most of the surgeons just do the mitral valve procedure without any intervention for enlarged left atrium.

Objective: In this article, we aim to review our mini-invasive technique of transverse sternal split (TSS) with or without cervical cannulation for cardiopulmonary bypass (CPB), its usefulness, and efficiency for repair of congenital cardiac defects.
Methods: Between January 2013 and June 2015, 34 infants and small children were operated through TSS in third or fourth intercostal space [Tetralogy of Fallot 11, perventricular ventricular septal defect (VSD) device closure 23]. Cardiopulmonary bypass was established through cervical (common carotid artery [CCA] and internal juglar vein [IJV]) and inferior vena cava cannulation.
