Purpose: Anorexia nervosa (AN) is characterized by a diminished capacity in perceiving the physiological correlates of interoceptive sensations, namely bodily self-consciousness. Given the neural division of self-processing into interoceptive-, exteroceptive- and mental-self, we hypothesize neural deficits in the interoceptive-processing regions in AN.

Methods: To prove this, we reviewed resting state (rs), task and rest-task studies in AN literature.

Patient-Factors Influencing the 2-Year Trajectory of Mental and Physical Health in Prostate Cancer Patients.

This study aimed to examine the physical and mental Quality of Life (QoL) trajectories in prostate cancer (PCa) patients participating in the Pros-IT CNR study. QoL was assessed using the Physical (PCS) and Mental Component Score (MCS) of Short-Form Health Survey upon diagnosis and two years later. Growth mixture models were applied on 1158 patients and 3 trajectories over time were identified for MCS: 75% of patients had constantly high scores, 13% had permanently low scores and 12% starting with low scores had a recovery; the predictors that differentiated the trajectories were age, comorbidities, a family history of PCa, and the bowel, urinary and sexual functional scores at diagnosis.

Biological and prognostic implications of biopsy upgrading for high-grade upper tract urothelial carcinoma at nephroureterectomy.

Objectives: Technical limitations of ureteroscopic (URS) biopsy has been considered responsible for substantial upgrading rate in upper tract urothelial carcinoma (UTUC). However, the impact of tumor specific factors for upgrading remain uninvestigated.

Methods: Patients who underwent URS biopsy were included between 2005 and 2020 at 13 institutions.

Aims: The efficacy of the transurethral convective interstitial radiofrequency water vapor thermal ablation of the prostate with the Rezūm system for the treatment of male lower urinary tract symptom due to benign prostatic hyperplasia is well proven. The improvement of urodynamic parameters obtained from a simple uroflowmetry cannot measure the effect of water vapor injection on the bladder outlet obstruction.

Methods: This monocentric retrospective pilot study analyzes the data of pressure-flow studies performed before and after 17 Rezūm procedures to answer the question whether thus obtained ablation of prostate tissue has a disobstructive effect on the bladder outlet.

The COVID-19 Pandemic Impact on the Outcome of Medically Assisted Reproduction Pregnancies.

Background: The impact of the Coronavirus Disease-2019 (COVID-19) pandemic on pregnancy is not well-understood. During the outbreak, the initial approach suggested by the major societies was to postpone all non-urgent assisted reproductive technology (ART) treatments. Nevertheless, the Italian Society of Fertility and Sterility and Reproductive Medicine considered ethically correct to proceed with ART treatments, as the infertility rate is increasing over time, with a consistent decline in the live birth rate.

Ureteral stent encrustation: evaluation of available scores as predictors of a complex surgery.

Background: Stent encrustation is an uncommon event (13%) with a significant impact in patients' management. Aim of our study was to evaluate the available grading systems for encrusted stents.

This article investigates the role of VE in causing LMD in GBM patients.

Objectives: We aimed to investigate and compare the efficacy and safety of two dolutegravir-based two-drug regimens: dolutegravir + lamivudine versus dolutegravir + rilpivirine.

Methods: We analysed a cohort of people living with HIV (PLWHIV) switching to dolutegravir + lamivudine or dolutegravir + rilpivirine. We excluded from the analysis PLWHIV with no available pre-switch genotypic test or with a known resistance mutation to one of the study drugs.

Factor analysis as a tool to explore the heterogeneity of type 2 diabetes: A feasibility study.

Aim: Diabetes is currently classified based on pathogenetic mechanisms and Type 2 diabetes (T2DM) can be considered a residual heterogeneous category.
