Background: Subungual melanoma (SUM) is a rare type of cutaneous malignant melanoma (CMM) associated with poor prognosis, while data regarding its prevalence are scarce.
Objectives: We sought to provide a comprehensive systematic review and meta-analysis of the prevalence rates of SUM among all types of CMM, considering certain demographic and clinical characteristics.
Methods: The MEDLINE electronic database was searched systematically to identify eligible studies providing prevalence rate estimates of SUM in patients with CMM.

Background: Limited data on immune checkpoint inhibitor (ICI)-induced pruritus per se and efficacy of different therapeutic modalities in its management exist.
Objective: To study the quantitative and qualitative characteristics of ICI-induced pruritus per se and to assess the efficacy of the therapeutic modalities usually applied.
Methods: We retrospectively reviewed the records of 91 patients who were under treatment with ICIs for any kind of neoplasia and developed pruritus during treatment.

Background: Peripheral globules (PG) in melanocytic lesions represent a concerning dermoscopic feature since they might be present in growing nevi and melanomas. Their natural evolution has not been fully elucidated, and an age-based management approach has been recommended.
Objectives: The aim of this study was to calculate the growth rate of lesions with PG and investigate possible association with age, sex, location, and the global dermoscopic pattern.

The group of histopathologically aggressive BCC subtypes includes morpheaform, micronodular, infiltrative and metatypical BCC. Since these tumors are at increased risk of recurring, micrographically controlled surgery is considered the best therapeutic option. Although dermoscopy significantly improves the clinical recognition of BCC, scarce evidence exists on their dermoscopic criteria.

: Cutaneous melanoma has an adjacent nevus remnant upon histological examination in 30% of cases (nevus-associated melanoma, NAM), while it appears for 70% of tumors. Regarding NAM arising in acquired melanocytic nevus, currently there is no evidence on whether NAM more frequently develops in association with a dysplastic or common melanocytic nevus. : To conduct a systematic review and meta-analysis to investigate the proportion of dysplastic or common melanocytic nevus in NAM associated with acquired nevus.

Indoor tanning (sunbeds, solarium) uses artificial ultraviolet radiation (UVR) to stimulate cosmetic tanning of the skin. Indoor tanning has been officially classified as a human carcinogen in 2009 by the International Agency for Research on Cancer of the World Health Organization (WHO). The differences in the prevalence of sunbed use across countries and over the years highlight underlying legislative, climatic, and cultural differences.

The World Health Organization declared the global monkeypox outbreak a public health emergency of international concern in July 2022. In response, the American Academy of Dermatology and International League of Dermatological Societies expanded the existing COVID-19 Dermatology Registry to become the "AAD/ILDS Dermatology COVID-19, Monkeypox, and Emerging Infections Registry." The goal of the registry is to rapidly collate cases of monkeypox and other emerging infections and enable prompt dissemination of findings to front-line healthcare workers and other members of the medical community.

High-risk cSCC is defined as invasive cSCC staged as N0 (without detectable regional lymph nodes) and M0 (without distant metastasis), that has features associated with a higher risk of poorer prognosis. The focus of this review is on the recent advances in the diagnosis and management of high-risk cSCC. The interest in high-risk cSCC relies on its higher risk of progression to advanced cSCC, as it represents the main pool of cSCCs that give rise to advanced tumors.

Cutaneous melanoma may have an adjacent nevus remnant on histological examination in 30% of cases (nevus-associated melanoma, NAM), while it may appear de novo, without a precursor lesion, in the remaining 70% of cases. Nevus-associated melanoma and the concept of acquired melanocytic nevi serving as precursors of melanoma has long been considered as a controversial topic. This controversy is, in part, due to their overall low rate of transformation to melanoma and scarce data on the natural history of progression.
