Context: Pituitary adenomas are benign tumors, usually found in men in their 3 and 5 decades of life, representing 10-15% of all intracranial tumors. The clinical manifestations include important endocrinological disturbances and visual impairment.
Objective: This study aimed to determine the most suitable neurosurgical approach regarding the dimensions, extensions and invasiveness of tumor extensions.

Chromosomal diseases are heterogeneous conditions with complex phenotypes, which include also epileptic seizures. Each chromosomal syndrome has a range of specific characteristics regarding the type of seizures, EEG findings and specific response to antiepileptic drugs, significant in the context of the respective genetic etiology. Therefore, it is very important to know these particularities, in order to avoid an exacerbation of seizures or some side effects.

Context: Lipoprotein-associated phospholipase A2 (Lp-PLA2) is a novel biomarker for cardiovascular diseases (CVD) risk estimation with high specificity for vascular inflammation. Few studies have investigated Lp-PLA2 levels in patients with metabolic syndrome (MetS) and obstructive sleep apnea syndrome (OSAS).
Objective: This study aimed to evaluate the role of Lp-PLA2 levels as a marker of vascular inflammation that contributes to cardiometabolic dysfunction in patients with MetS and OSAS.
