Tolvaptan, a selective vasopressin V2 receptor antagonist, is the first and only approved specific treatment for Autosomal-Dominant Polycystic Kidney Disease (ADPKD), and is used in current clinical practice. Real clinical data are missing. In this retrospective study, 41 ADPKD patients received tolvaptan for 3 years, from 2018 to 2021.

Introduction: The aim of this study was to determine the incidence and risk factors for hypothyroidism, both clinical and subclinical, following hemithyroidectomy in preoperatively euthyroid patients, as well as hypothyroidism remission and its time of remission.

Materials And Methods: A search was performed in Medline (via PubMed), Web of Science, and the Cochrane Library using the keywords "hemithyroidectomy + postoperative + hypothyroidism" and "hemithyroidectomy + hormone supplementation".

Results: Fifty-four studies with a total of 9,999 patients were included.

In Vitro and In Vivo Effects of Docetaxel and Dasatinib in Triple-Negative Breast Cancer: A Research Study.

Introduction Triple-negative breast cancer (TNBC) comprises a heterogeneous group of tumors with a single trait in common: an evident aggressive nature with higher rates of relapse and lower overall survival in the metastatic context when compared to other subtypes of breast cancer. To date, not a single targeted therapy has been approved for the treatment of TNBC, and cytotoxic chemotherapy remains the standard treatment. In the present experimental study, we examine the effects of the chemotherapeutic docetaxel and the bcr/abl kinase inhibitor dasatinib on TNBC cell lines (in vitro) and on TNBC tumor xenograft mouse models (in vivo).

Evaluation of Macular Thickness Changes Following Large Horizontal Rectus Muscle Recession: A Prospective Cohort Study.

Aim The aim of the study was to evaluate the long-term effect of large horizontal rectus muscle recession on macula thickness using spectral domain optical coherence tomography (SD-OCT). Material and methods Forty-two children were included in the study. The intervention groups were the medial rectus (MR) group (=20 eyes ) and the lateral rectus (LR) group (=22 eyes), including the eyes that underwent large medial and lateral rectus muscle recession, respectively.

Preoperative Assessment of Perianal Fistulas with Combined Magnetic Resonance and Tridimensional Endoanal Ultrasound: A Prospective Study.

Background: we designed a prospective study of diagnostic accuracy that compared pelvic MRI and 3D-EAUS with pelvic MRI alone in the preoperative evaluation and postoperative outcomes of patients with perianal fistulas.

Design And Methods: This phase III, randomized, investigator-masked trial primarily aimed to demonstrate non-inferiority of YSLT PF latanoprost 50 μg/ml (Yonsung GmbH) to latanoprost (Xalatan®) 50 μg/ml (Pfizer) in reducing IOP from Baseline to Week 12. Secondary aims included conjunctival hyperemia evaluation and difference in ocular comfort levels.

Short Loop Modification of the Semiadjustable Suture Strabismus Procedure for Optional Adjustment.

Purpose: To present a modification of the semiadjustable suture technique allowing for optional adjustment.

Methods: Short suture loops buried under closed conjunctiva were used instead of the exposed long muscle and sliding noose sutures involved in the standard semiadjustable suture procedure; an additional temporary tracing suture facilitated the retrieval of the buried muscle suture loop during adjustment.

Results: Fifty-three consecutive patients (57 rectus extraocular muscles) underwent recession with the modified semiadjustable short loop technique.

Methods: A comprehensive literature review was performed using PubMed, Scopus, and Google Scholar databases to identify publications about innovative concepts or supporting applications of AI in the improvement of every medical procedure relating to stone disease. The terms ''endourology'', ''artificial intelligence'', ''machine learning'', and ''urolithiasis'' were used for searching eligible reports, while review articles, articles referring to automated procedures without AI application, and editorial comments were excluded from the final set of publications.

Endovenous thermal ablation in the treatment of large great saphenous veins of diameters > 12 mm: A systematic review meta-analysis and meta-regression.

Background: We sought to assess the safety and efficacy of endovenous thermal ablation (EVTA) in treating large great saphenous veins (GSV) > 12 mm in diameter.

Methods: We performed a systematic review according to the Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic reviews and Meta-Analyses (PRISMA) 2020 for comparative and noncomparative studies depicting EVTA in the treatment of GSV > 12 mm. Primary endpoints included GSV occlusion, technical success, deep vein thrombosis (DVT), and endovenous heat-induced thrombosis (EHIT).

Clinical Outcome of Kidney Transplant Recipients with C1q-Binding De Novo Donor Specific Antibodies: A Single-Center Experience.

Complement activation by HLA antibodies is a key component of immune-mediated graft injury. We examined the clinical outcomes of kidney transplant recipients with complement-fixing de novo donor-specific antibodies (dnDSA) who were followed in our center. The C1q-binding ability was retrospectively assessed in 69 patients with dnDSA and mean fluorescence intensity (MFI) values > 2000 out of the 1325 kidney transplant recipients who were screened for DSA between 2015 and 2019.
