A 28-year-old woman was diagnosed with high-risk triple-expressor diffuse large B-cell lymphoma (DLBCL) (stage IV, IPI 4, CNS-IPI 5), with lymph node and extranodal involvement. The patient underwent first-line R-CHOP treatment, achieving a partial response with residual mediastinal uptake. A second-line platinum-based therapy with a transplant plan followed, resulting in stable disease; thus, she was considered refractory and started third-line therapy with CAR-T cells, receiving additional chemotherapy as bridging therapy.

Low-grade endometrial stromal sarcoma (LG-ESS) can present diagnostic challenges, due to its overlapping morphological features with other uterine mesenchymal tumors. Misdiagnosis rates remain significant, and immunohistochemical data for LG-ESS are limited to small series and inconsistent antibody panels. This study aimed to refine the IHC profile of LG-ESS by analyzing a large, molecularly confirmed series of 147 cases using a panel of 24 antibodies, including newer markers like transgelin and smoothelin.

The aim of the present study was to verify the impact of a moderate-high physical activity and recovery after surgery on anatomical results after LSC, with a 2-year follow-up (FU).

Assessing fluid responsiveness by using functional hemodynamic tests in critically ill patients: a narrative review and a profile-based clinical guide.

Fluids are given with the purpose of increasing cardiac output (CO), but approximately only 50% of critically ill patients are fluid responders. Since the effect of a fluid bolus is time-sensitive, it diminuish within few hours, following the initial fluid resuscitation. Several functional hemodynamic tests (FHTs), consisting of maneuvers affecting heart-lung interactions, have been conceived to discriminate fluid responders from non-responders.

Background: Sometimes, the identification of ground-glass opacities (GGOs), small or deep pulmonary nodules can be difficult also in expert hands. Usually for these lesions pulmonary lobectomy is an overtreatment, so we developed a technique to identify easily these nodules. Background: This study aimed to evaluate the impact of severe asthma (SA) treatments after 12 months in achieving clinical remission (CR) within the context of the Severe Asthma Network in Italy (SANI) using the recent SANI definition of CR on treatment.

Methods: CR has been defined by SANI as complete, partial, and no CR. Complete CR is defined by the absence of oral corticosteroids (OCS), no symptoms, no exacerbations, and stable lung function, and partial CR requires the absence of OCS and the fulfillment of 2 out of the other 3 criteria.

Severity trend of recurrence in pediatric Food Protein-Induced Enterocolitis Syndrome (FPIES).

Background: Reintroduction of offending food in pediatric patients affected by Food Protein-Induced Enterocolitis Syndrome (FPIES) is carried out in hospitals with Oral Food Challenge (OFC), which leads to long waiting time and increases the societal burden of medical cost and human resources.

Objective: The aim of the study is to assess severity trend of acute FPIES adverse reactions over time in the same patient for possible outpatient or home reintroduction of offending food.

Methods: All children (<18 years-old) with a diagnosis of acute FPIES referred to 2 Italian pediatric allergy clinics were retrospectively enrolled.

Objective: To assess how genetics and -omics information is used in the most cited recent clinical trials, and to evaluate industry involvement and transparency patterns.

Study Design And Setting: This is a meta-research evaluation using a previously constructed database of the 600 most cited clinical trials published from 2019 to 2022. Trials that utilized genetic or -omics characterization of participants in the trial design, analysis, and results were considered eligible.

Incidence of hospital-acquired infections due to carbapenem-resistant Enterobacterales and Pseudomonas aeruginosa in critically ill patients in Italy: a multicentre prospective cohort study.

Background: Carbapenem-Resistant Gram-Negative Bacteria, including Carbapenem-Resistant Enterobacterales (CRE) and Carbapenem-Resistant Pseudomonas aeruginosa (CRPA), are common causes of infections in intensive care units (ICUs) in Italy.

Objective: This prospective observational study evaluated the epidemiology, management, microbiological characterization, and outcomes of hospital-acquired CRE or CRPA infections treated in selected ICUs in Italy.

Methods: The study included patients with hospital-acquired infections due to CRE and CRPA treated in 20 ICUs from June 2021 to February 2023.
