A narrowed patent aortic lumen (<25 mm) represents a challenging scenario frequently observed during thoraco-abdominal and abdominal aortic pathologies involving the visceral vessels. The paper aims to describe the characteristics of a novel tapered-shape inner-branched custom-made stent-graft designed to specifically address the narrowed patent aortic lumen and its applicability in a wider spectrum of aortic scenarios at the reno-visceral segment.

Objective: Carbon dioxide (CO) angiography has emerged as a viable alternative to regular iodinated contrast medium (ICM) for guiding endovascular aneurysm repair (EVAR) procedures. This study aimed to evaluate the feasibility and safety of a standardised EVAR procedure using only CO angiography.
Methods: A prospective, multicentre, national study enrolled consecutive patients between January 2023 and January 2024 with asymptomatic abdominal aortic aneurysms measuring ≥ 55 mm and for whom standard endovascular graft (instructions for use) was anatomically feasible.

Objective: The aim of this study was compare elective surgical repair of popliteal artery aneurysms (PAAs) via a posterior approach vs. endovascular exclusion, analysing early and five year outcomes in a multicentre retrospective study.
Methods: Between January 2010 and December 2023, a retrospectively maintained dataset of all consecutive asymptomatic PAAs that underwent open repair with posterior approach or endovascular repair in 37 centres was investigated.

Objective: Major adverse cardiac events (MACEs) were common complications after endovascular aortic repair (EVAR) causing significant postoperative morbidity and mortality. The aim of the study was to evaluate the cardiac risk after elective EVAR for uncomplicated noninfected infrarenal abdominal aortic aneurysm in a large multicenter cohort.
Methods: This is a multicenter, retrospective, financially unsupported physician-initiated observational cohort study conducted by four academic tertiary referral hospitals from January 2018 to March 2021.

Purpose: Aim of the study was to evaluate the influence of sex in asymptomatic patients undergoing carotid artery stenting (CAS).
Materials And Methods: A retrospective observational study was conducted from January 2006 to December 2020. A total of 438 consecutive patients with asymptomatic carotid artery stenosis >70% underwent transfemoral CAS and were stratified in males (M) and females (F).

Arterial pseudoaneurysms represent an uncommon complication of acute pancreatic inflammation or chronic pancreatitis. We describe a contained rupture of a suprarenal abdominal aortic pseudoaneurysm. An aorto-uni-iliac stent-graft was adopted as the aortic main body and was combined with two chimneys and two periscope stents for celiac/superior mesenteric artery and renal arteries, respectively.

To describe a case of endovascular bailout strategy during stent-graft thrombotic complication in an endovascular procedure for complex TASC II D aortoiliac lesion. A 77-year-old patient was admitted at our institution with bilateral lower limb rest pain due to aortoiliac obstructive disease in a previous aortobifemoral bypass grafting with an asymptomatic Sars-CoV-2 infection. We planned an anatomic reconstruction of the aortoiliac segment with an unimodular bifurcated stent-graft.

Background: To describe the outcomes of the endovascular reconstruction of TASC C/D lesions involving the infrarenal aorta and aortic bifurcation with different techniques.
Methods: This is an observational, retrospective, single-center study. In a 5-year period, we selected all the patients treated with an endovascular procedure for an aorto-iliac TASC C/D lesion involving the infrarenal aorta and/or the aortic bifurcation.

Hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) is one of the most threatening tumours in the world today. Pharmacological treatments for HCC mainly rely on protein kinase inhibitors, such as sorafenib and regorafenib. Even so, these approaches exhibit side effects and acquired drug resistance, which is an obstacle to HCC treatment.

Objective: Management of antithrombotic therapy in patients undergoing elective fenestrated branched endovascular aortic repair (F-BEVAR) is not standardised, nor are there any recommendations from current guidelines. By designing an international expert based Delphi consensus, the study aimed to create recommendations on the pre-, intra-, and post-operative management of antithrombotic therapy in patients scheduled for elective F-BEVAR in high volume centres.
Methods: Eight facilitators created appropriate statements regarding the study topic that were voted on, using a four point Likert scale, by a selected panel of international experts using a three round modified Delphi consensus process.

To describe a new inner-branched device used to treat two cases of chronic post-dissection aortic thoraco-abdominal aneurysms (PD-TAAAs) after ascending aortic surgery. A 67-year-old male who had undergone an ascending aorta and arch surgical replacement and a 70-year-old male with a previous Bentall procedure for acute type A aortic dissection were admitted at our department with a PD-TAAA diagnosis. Both patients were defined unfit for open surgery by a multidisciplinary team and a totally percutaneous endovascular repair was planned.

Background And Aim: The review aimed to summarize advances in the topic of endocrine diseases and coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19).
Methods: Scientific and institutional websites and databases were searched and data were collected and organized, when plausible, to angle the discussion toward the following clinical issues. (1) Are patients with COVID-19 at higher risk of developing acute or late-onset endocrine diseases or dysfunction? (2) May the underlying endocrine diseases or dysfunctions be considered risk factors for poor prognosis once the infection has occurred? (3) Are there defined strategies to manage endocrine diseases despite pandemic-related constraints? Herein, the authors considered only relevant and more frequently observed endocrine diseases and disorders related to the hypothalamic-pituitary region, thyroid and parathyroid glands, calcium-phosphorus homeostasis and osteoporosis, adrenal glands, and gonads.

Objective: The study purpose was to present early outcomes of patients treated for thoracoabdominal aortic aneurysms or complex abdominal aortic diseases using endovascular repair with a new branched endograft.
Methods: This multicenter, retrospective, observational cohort study included all patients treated with a new branched endograft. All elective patients were treated with a staged operative strategy and spinal drainage Primary outcomes of interest were technical success, early (≤30 days) mortality, and late (≥30 days) survival, and freedom from adverse aortic events.

Hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) is the most commonly diagnosed liver malignancy, ranking third in the overall global cancer-related mortality. A complex network of interacting proteins controls HCC growth and progression. Lysophosphatidic acid receptors (LPAR) are commonly overexpressed in HCC.

Hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) is one of the most prevalent cancers worldwide and the commonest liver cancer. It is expected to become the third leading cause of cancer-related deaths in Western countries by 2030. Effective pharmacological approaches for HCC are still unavailable, and the currently approved systemic treatments are unsatisfactory in terms of therapeutic results, showing many side effects.
