Despite being a rare disease, high-income countries (HICs) have formulated guidelines for management of pediatric CML (pCML). We conducted a survey amongst 24 physicians from 22 Low-Middle Income Countries (LMICs) to gather information regarding their practice and experience in treating children with pCML. Rarity of pCML, lack of adequate expertise, and setting-adapted guidelines along with limitations in diagnostic infrastructure as well as challenges in accessing tyrosine kinase inhibitors (TKIs) were identified as major barriers in optimum management of patients.

2D conjugated coordination polymers (cCPs) based on square-planar transition metal-complexes (such as MO, M(NH), and MS, M = metal) are an emerging class of (semi)conducting materials that are of great interest for applications in supercapacitors, catalysis, and thermoelectrics. Finding synthetic approaches to high-performance nickel-nitrogen (Ni-N) based cCP films is a long-standing challenge. Here, a general, dynamically controlled on-surface synthesis that produces highly conductive Ni-N-based cCP films is developed and the thermoelectric properties as a function of the molecular structure and their dependence on interactions with ambient atmosphere are studied.

Taking a longitudinal approach, this study analyses German residents' changing perceptions of solidarity practices during the COVID-19 pandemic and examines potential reasons for these changes.

Methods: Adults living in Germany were interviewed in April 2020 (n = 46), October 2020 (n = 43) and October 2021 (n = 40) as part of the SolPan Research Commons, a large-scale, international, qualitative, longitudinal study uniquely situated in a major global public health crisis.

Many moss species are associated with nitrogen (N)-fixing bacteria (diazotrophs) that support the N supply of mosses. Our knowledge relates primarily to pristine ecosystems with low atmospheric N input, but knowledge of biological N fixation (BNF) and diazotrophic communities in mosses in temperate forests with high N deposition is limited. We measured BNF rates using the direct stable isotope method and studied the total and potentially active diazotrophic communities in two abundant mosses, Brachythecium rutabulum and Hypnum cupressiforme, both growing on lying deadwood trunks in 25 temperate forest sites.

We investigate how randomly oriented cell traction forces lead to fluidization in a vertex model of epithelial tissues. We find that the fluidization occurs at a critical value of the traction force magnitude F_{c}. We show that this transition exhibits critical behavior, similar to the yielding transition of sheared amorphous solids.

Especially polymer chain orientation was studied as a new parameter, among others, for proper chain regime assignment in this report.

Breast cancer prognosis and management for both men and women are reliant upon estrogen receptor alpha (ERα) and progesterone receptor (PR) expression to inform therapy. Previous studies have shown that there are sex-specific binding characteristics of ERα and PR in breast cancer and, counterintuitively, ERα expression is more common in male than female breast cancer.
