Diagnostic-constrained fault-tolerant control of bi-directional AGV transport systems with fault-prone sensors.

This paper explores a novel challenge regarding bidirectional Automated Guided Vehicles (AGVs): supervisory control amidst potential sensor faults. The proposed approach uses an event-based control architecture, guided by Supervisory Control Theory (SCT), to achieve non-blocking routing of AGVs. Unlike most routing approaches assuming full event observability, this paper investigates scenarios where events might become unobservable due to sensor faults or disturbances, which may affect the supervisor efficiency.

Neonatal Feeding Practices and SARS-CoV-2 Transmission in Neonates with Perinatal SARS-CoV-2 Exposure: A Systematic Review and Meta-Analysis.

The risk of neonatal SARS-CoV-2 infection from the mother's own milk (MoM) in neonates who are exposed to maternal SARS-CoV-2 during the perinatal period remains unclear. We conducted a systematic review to assess the association between MoM feeding and neonatal SARS-CoV-2 infection in neonates who were born to SARS-CoV-2-positive pregnant persons. PubMed Central and Google Scholar were searched for studies published by 14 March 2024 that reported neonatal SARS-CoV-2 infection by feeding type.

Quantifying the potential contribution of drugs to the occurrence of acute kidney injury in patients with chronic kidney disease.

Background: We sought to comprehensively describe drug-related components associated with acute kidney injury (AKI) in patients with chronic kidney disease (CKD), describing the incidence of drug-related AKI, the proportion of preventable AKI, identified the various drugs potentially associated with it, explored the risk factors, and assessed the 1-year incidences of the recurrence of drug-related AKI, kidney failure, and death.

Methods: CKD-REIN is a French national prospective cohort of 3033 nephrology outpatients with a confirmed diagnosis of CKD (eGFR <60 ml/min/1.73 m²).

Association between urate-lowering therapy and kidney failure in patients with chronic kidney disease.

Background: Hyperuricemia is a hallmark of gout and a suspected risk factor for the progression of chronic kidney disease (CKD). However, the impact of urate-lowering therapy on CKD progression is subject to debate. The objective of the present study was to describe the prevalence of inappropriate urate-lowering therapy prescriptions and evaluate the association between urate-lowering therapy prescription and the progression of kidney disease in patients with CKD.

The aim of this study is to determine the mechanical behavior of 2D honeycomb cellular structures with deformation initiators subject to quasi-static compression testing. Two different loading directions were studied: in-plane (IP) and out-of-plane (OP). The deformation initiators sought to stabilize the mechanical response by decreasing the initial peak force in the case of OP loading.

Methods: This work was supervised by French medical and surgical societies involved in RA management. Recommendations were rated from A to C according to the literature until September 2023.

Experimental and Numerical Analysis of the Quasi-Static and Dynamic Behavior of Silicate Materials.

This study investigated both the static and dynamic behavior of silicate materials through a series of experimental and numerical tests. Compression tests were conducted on cubic samples, three-point bending tests on beams, and perforation tests on silicate plates. In the compression tests, stress-strain curves were generated, enabling the calibration of the Concrete Damaged Plasticity (CDP) model for silicate materials.

Development of a stereo-EEG based seizure matching system for clinical decision making in epilepsy surgery.

The proportion of patients becoming seizure-free after epilepsy surgery has stagnated. Large multi-center stereo-electroencephalography (SEEG) datasets can allow comparing new patients to past similar cases and making clinical decisions with the knowledge of how cases were treated in the past. However, the complexity of these evaluations makes the manual search for similar patients impractical.

Linezolid in enterococcal urinary tract infection: a multicentre study.

Here, we study how phytochemical diversity considered at three organizational levels can promote pest control. In a factorial field experiment, we manipulated plant diversity in three monocultures and three mixed crops of oilseed rape to explore how intra- and interspecific phytochemical diversity affects pest infestation.
