Theoretical investigations were carried out for the production of the medically important Zr radionuclide. This radionuclide is produced in the interaction of a proton projectile with Y-target, a readily available target with greater purity at ≈ 5-60 MeV. The Y (p, n)Zr production route, a promising avenue in the fields of medical imaging and radiopharmaceutical development, is of significant interest due to its potential to produce Zr, a radionuclide with a half-life of 78.

Intercalation is a promising technique to modify the structural and electronic properties of 2D materials on the wafer scale for future electronic device applications. Yet, few reports to date demonstrate 2D intercalation as a viable technique on this scale. Spurred by recent demonstrations of mm-scale sensors, we use hydrogen intercalated quasi-freestanding bilayer graphene (hQBG) grown on 6H-SiC(0001), to understand the electronic properties of a large-area (16 mm) device.

Nuclear reaction cross sections for the formation of As and As in proton-induced reactions on enriched Ge targets were measured up to 45 MeV utilizing three different cyclotrons at the Forschungszentrum Jülich. The stacked-thin sample activation technique in combination with high-resolution γ-ray spectrometry was used. The major γ-ray peaks of As and As formed via the Ge(p,n)As and Ge(p,2n)As reactions, respectively, were analyzed.

In this study, the proton-induced reactions of Zn and Ga aimed at generating Ga were simulated and modeled using Talys code and neural network software. In the first step, both targets were simulated under different proton energies and at different bombardments times to generate a total of six thousand data. Then, the obtained data from the Talys, including the various cross-sections, contaminations, the main product i.
