Introduction: Studying phase changes in physical models enables researchers to adequately describe the dynamics arising from such systems.
Objectives: This work investigates the effect of a new Caputo fractional operator on the dynamics in two physical models.
Methods: The corresponding Riemann-Liouville fractional integral is presented.

Background: Coat color, as a distinct phenotypic characteristic of pigs, is often subject to preference and selection, such as in the breeding process of new breed. Shanxia long black pig was derived from an intercross between Berkshire boars and Licha black pig sows, and it was bred as a paternal strain with high-quality meat and black coat color. Although the coat color was black in the F generation of the intercross, it segregated in the subsequent generations.

To advance the foundation of one-particle reduced density matrix functional theory (1RDMFT), we refine and relate some of its fundamental features and underlying concepts. We define by concise means the scope of a 1RDMFT, identify its possible natural variables, and explain how symmetries could be exploited. In particular, for systems with time-reversal symmetry, we explain why there exist six equivalent universal functionals, prove concise relations among them, and conclude that the important notion of v-representability is relative to the scope and choice of variable.

Understanding the various competing phases in cuprate superconductors is a long-standing challenging problem. Recent studies have shown that orbital degrees of freedom, both Cuorbitals and Oorbitals, are a key ingredient for a unified understanding of cuprate superconductors, including the material dependence. Here we investigate a four-bandd-pmodel derived from the first-principles calculations with the variational Monte Carlo method, which allows us to elucidate competing phases on an equal footing.

Like other cecidomyiid Diptera, Hessian fly has stable S chromosomes and dispensable E chromosomes that are retained only in the germ line. Amplified fragment length polymorphisms (AFLP), suppressive subtractive hybridization (SSH), fluorescent in-situ hybridization (FISH), and sequencing were used to investigate similarities and differences between S and E chromosomes.
