The contaminated transformer oil is one of the major causes of failure in the power system. Detection and continuous monitoring of moisture content in transformer oil is required for the smooth operation of a system. In this paper, a Fractal-based Sinusoidal-shaped Capacitive Sensor (FSCS) is proposed to increase the contact area between capacitor plates and dielectric medium by 17.

The damage behavior and defect evolution in Si-doped and Fe-doped β-GaO crystals were investigated using an electron irradiation of 1 MeV at a dose of 1 × 10 cm in conjunction with structural and optoelectronic characterizations. Distinct decline in electron spin resonance (ESR) signal with = 1.96 and a UV luminesce of 375 nm were observed in Si-doped β-GaO due to the capture of free carriers by irradiation defects.

A Cu-doped NaLiPO phosphor material was successfully synthesized through the high-temperature solid state diffusion method. It was mainly doped with CuCl and CuCl salts for impurities in the form of Cu and Cu, respectively. Formation of the material in the single phase of the phosphor material was confirmed by powder XRD.

In this work, two cow teeth collected from the Niğde-Köşk Höyük excavation site in Turkey were studied for characterization and dosimetric purposes. Each tooth sample was prepared by applying mechanical and chemical methods to obtain the enamel fractions. To do this, mineralogical and elemental concentration properties of the tooth enamels were investigated by performing X-ray diffraction (XRD) and scanning electron microscopy coupled with energy-dispersive X-ray measurements (SEM-EDX).

Gansu Key Laboratory for Environmental Pollution Prediction and Control, College of Earth and Environmental Sciences, Lanzhou University, Lanzhou, Gansu, 730000, PR China. Electronic address:

In this study, natural pyrite (NP) was used to activate peroxydisulfate (PDS) for imidacloprid (IMD) degradation. NP was characterized by X-ray diffraction (XRD), X-ray fluorescence spectrometry (XRF), scanning electron microscopy (SEM), transmission electron microscopy (TEM) and X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS). Effects of key reaction parameters (NP dosage, PDS concentration and initial pH) and co-existing ions on IMD degradation in the NP/PDS system were investigated.
