The ovary is one of the first organs to exhibit signs of aging, characterized by reduced tissue function, chronic inflammation, and fibrosis. Multinucleated giant cells (MNGCs), formed by macrophage fusion, typically occur in chronic immune pathologies, including infectious and non-infectious granulomas and the foreign body response , but are also observed in the aging ovary . The function and consequence of ovarian MNGCs remain unknown as their biological activity is highly context-dependent, and their large size has limited their isolation and analysis through technologies such as single-cell RNA sequencing.

Current projections of rising sea surface temperatures (SST) pose a threat to marine macroalgae, particularly those living in shallow coastal areas. The giant Irish moss, a unique strain of the common red alga Chondrus crispus, is found solely in a coastal lagoon in Prince Edward Island, Atlantic Canada, and has undergone a two-decade population decline. Despite protection efforts, this alga has not recovered to its pre-decline abundance, which may be due to, among other factors, warming ocean temperatures.

Rheumatoid meningitis (RM) presents with sufficiently wide-ranging, but non-specific, symptoms and neuroimaging features of pachy- and/or leptomeningeal thickening that it may be indistinguishable from subacute infectious meningitis. RA diagnosis variably antedates RM and serological confirmation by rheumatoid factor and anti-citrullinated peptide antibodies may not be present preoperatively. Thus, meningeal biopsy may be undertaken.

Background: The giant keyhole limpet is a gastropod mollusk (Fissurella superfamily) that is endemic to the eastern Pacific coast from southern California, USA, to Baja California Sur, Mexico. is socioeconomically important as it produces a potent immune-stimulating protein, called Keyhole Limpet Hemocyanin, which is extracted in vivo and utilized for vaccine development. However, ecological studies are scarce and genetic knowledge of the species needs to be improved.

Sprint performance is commonly assessed via discrete sprint tests and analyzed through kinematic estimates modeled using a mono-exponential equation, including estimated maximal sprinting speed (MSS), relative acceleration (TAU), maximum acceleration (MAC), and relative propulsive maximal power (PMAX). The acceleration-velocity profile (AVP) provides a simple summary of short sprint performance using two parameters: MSS and MAC, which are useful for simplifying descriptions of sprint performance, comparison between athletes and groups of athletes, and estimating changes in performance over time or due to training intervention. However, discrete testing poses logistical challenges and defines an athlete's AVP exclusively from the performance achieved in an isolated testing environment.
