Hematite (α-FeO) nanoparticles have been synthesized from waste source of iron which contains a prominent amount of iron (93.2 %) and investigated the effect of low temperature calcination. The two-step synthesis method involved preparing ferrous sulfate through acid leaching process followed by oxidation and calcination at temperatures ranging from 200 to 400 °C to produce the desired α-FeO in nano form.

In this article, the propagation of high-frequency (HF) plane electromagnetic waves through the lower ionosphere is numerically investigated using the real geometry of the Earth's magnetic field in the northern hemisphere. For this purpose, the profiles of electron density and the collision frequency in the layers of the lower ionosphere (D- and E-region) are considered using the reported experimental data for day and night. The reflection, transmission, and absorption coefficients of HF radio waves in the frequency range of 3 to 30 MHz are calculated in the ionosphere plasma.

We present a novel approach for enhancing photocatalytic efficiency by developing polyaniline (PANI) and polyindole (PIN)-coated TiO nanotubes (TNT) through a combination of chemical oxidation and hydrothermal processes. The PANI-PIN coating was systematically applied to both the internal and external surfaces of the nanotubes to enhance the photocatalytic active sites and optimize pollutant adsorption. The dual-coated structure enhances the interaction with pollutants, facilitating a more efficient degradation of 4-nitrophenol (4-NP) when exposed to visible light.

Photosynthesis in nature begins with light harvesting. The special pigment-protein complex converts sunlight into electron excitation that is transmitted to the reaction center, which triggers charge separation. Evidence shows that quantum coherence between electron excited states is important in the excitation energy transfer process.

Introduction: Non-alcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD) is a common chronic disease seriously threatening human health, with limited treatment means, however. Sesamin, a common lignan in sesame seed oil, exhibits anti-inflammatory, antioxidant, and anticancer properties. Our previous studies have shown an ameliorative effect of sesamin on lipid accumulation in human hepatocellular carcinoma (HePG2) induced by oleic acid, with its protective effects unclear in the case of 9-trans-C18:1 elaidic acid (9-trans-C18,1).
