Burst Ultrafast Laser Welding of Quartz Glass.

Materials (Basel)

March 2025

State Key Laboratory of Precision Manufacturing for Extreme Service Performance, College of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering, Central South University, Changsha 410083, China.

Ultrafast laser welding of transparent materials has been widely used in sensors, microfluidics, optics, etc. However, the existing ultrafast laser welding depths are limited by the short laser Rayleigh length, which makes it difficult to realize the joining of transparent materials in the millimeter depth range and becomes a new challenge. Based on temporal shaping, we realized Burst mode ultrafast laser output with different sub-pulse numbers and explored the effect of different Burst modes on the welding performance using high-speed shadow in situ imaging.

Electronic address:

The Tibetan Plateau (TP) and surrounding regions, vital to global energy and water cycles, are profoundly influenced by climate change and anthropogenic activities. Despite widespread attention to vegetation greening across the region since the 1980s, its underlying mechanisms remain poorly understood. This study employs the eigen microstates method to quantify vegetation greening dynamics using long-term remote sensing and reanalysis data.

State Key Laboratory of Discovery and Utilization of Functional Components in Traditional Chinese Medicine; Shanghai Frontiers Science Center of TCM Chemical Biology; Institute of Interdisciplinary Integrative Medicine Research, Shanghai University of Traditional Chinese Medicine, Shanghai 201203, China.

The anticancer agent irinotecan often induces severe delayed-onset diarrhea, inhibiting human carboxylesterase 2A (hCES2A) can significantly alleviate irinotecan-triggered gut toxicity (ITGT). This work presents an efficient workflow for design and developing novel efficacious hCES2A inhibitors. A well-training machine learning model identified as a lead compound, while compound was developed as a novel time-dependent hCES2A inhibitor (IC = 0.

State Key Laboratory of Green Pesticide, College of Chemistry, Central China Normal University, Wuhan 430079, China.

Fungicides have been widely used in agricultural production; however, their extensive use has caused serious environmental pollution. Because of its high efficiency, low toxicity, and high selectivity, chiral fungicides can effectively reduce the amount of fungicides and increase the efficiency. Hence, how to efficiently separate the enantiomers of chiral drugs with different structures is of significant research value.
