We analyze data on and decays in the whole dilepton invariant mass spectrum with the aim of disentangling short- vs. long-distance contributions. The sizable long-distance amplitudes from narrow resonances are taken into account by employing a dispersive approach.

A study of the anomalous couplings of the Higgs boson to vector bosons, including -violation effects, has been conducted using its production and decay in the WW channel. This analysis is performed on proton-proton collision data collected with the CMS detector at the CERN LHC during 2016-2018 at a center-of-mass energy of 13 TeV, and corresponds to an integrated luminosity of 138 . The different-flavor dilepton final state is analyzed, with dedicated categories targeting gluon fusion, electroweak vector boson fusion, and associated production with a W or Z boson.

A search for a long-lived, heavy neutral lepton (N) in 139  fb^{-1} of sqrt[s]=13  TeV pp collision data collected by the ATLAS detector at the Large Hadron Collider is reported. The N is produced via W→Nμ or W→Ne and decays into two charged leptons and a neutrino, forming a displaced vertex. The N mass is used to discriminate between signal and background.

Test of Lepton Universality in b→sℓ^{+}ℓ^{-} Decays.

Phys Rev Lett

August 2023

Department of Physics and Astronomy, University of Manchester, Manchester, United Kingdom.

The first simultaneous test of muon-electron universality using B^{+}→K^{+}ℓ^{+}ℓ^{-} and B^{0}→K^{*0}ℓ^{+}ℓ^{-} decays is performed, in two ranges of the dilepton invariant-mass squared, q^{2}. The analysis uses beauty mesons produced in proton-proton collisions collected with the LHCb detector between 2011 and 2018, corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 9  fb^{-1}. Each of the four lepton universality measurements reported is either the first in the given q^{2} interval or supersedes previous LHCb measurements.

This Letter proposes a new search for confining dark sectors at the Large Hadron Collider. As a result of the strong dynamics in the hidden sector, dark matter could manifest in proton-proton collisions at the Large Hadron Collider in form of hadronic jets containing stable invisible bound states. These semi-visible jets have been studied theoretically and experimentally in the fully hadronic signature where the unstable composite dark matter can only decay promptly back to Standard Model quarks.
