The topic of data storage, traceability, and data use and reuse in the years following experiments is becoming an important topic in Europe and across the world. Many scientific communities are striving to create open data by the FAIR principles. This is a requirement from the European Commission for EU-funded projects and experiments at EU-funded research infrastructures (RIs) and from many national funding agencies.

Article Synopsis
  • Ferritin-based hybrids are large macromolecules with potential uses in drug delivery and vaccines, but their design is complicated.
  • Researchers designed hybrids using ferritin from Helicobacter pylori and a Small Ubiquitin-like Modifier, discovering that their assembly was influenced by varying preparation methods.
  • They developed a quantitative model to analyze how different stoichiometries affected the structure of these hybrids, revealing unexpected patterns and establishing a framework for better design of ferritin-based systems.

Methods to prepare and characterize neutron helical waves carrying orbital angular momentum (OAM) were recently demonstrated at small-angle neutron scattering (SANS) facilities. These methods enable access to the neutron orbital degree of freedom which provides new avenues of exploration in fundamental science experiments as well as in material characterization applications. However, it remains a challenge to recover phase profiles from SANS measurements.

Magnetoplumbites are one of the most broadly studied families of hexagonal ferrites, typically with high magnetic ordering temperatures, making them excellent candidates for permanent magnets. However, magnetic frustration is rarely observed in magnetoplumbites. Herein, the discovery, synthesis, and characterization of the first Mn-based magnetoplumbite, as well as the first magnetoplumbite involving pnictogens (Sb), ASbMnO (A = K or Rb) are reported.

Current research trends and hotspots of boron neutron capture therapy: a bibliometric and visualization analysis.

Front Oncol

December 2024

Department of Radiation Oncology, National Cancer Center/National Clinical Research Center for Cancer/Cancer Hospital & Shenzhen Hospital, Chinese Academy of Medical Sciences and Peking Union Medical College, Shenzhen, China.

Purpose: This study aimed to describe the trends, current hotspots, and future directions in boron neutron capture therapy (BNCT) through a bibliometric analysis.

Methods: Articles related to BNCT published before 2023-12-31 were retrieved from the Web of Science Core Collection database. VOSviewer, R, and CiteSpace were used for bibliometric analysis and visualization.
