Gauge Theory Bootstrap.

Phys Rev Lett

November 2024

Department of Physics and Astronomy and PQSEI, Purdue University, West Lafayette, Indiana 47907, USA.

We propose the gauge theory bootstrap, a method to compute the pion S matrix that describes the low-energy physics of the strong interaction and other similar gauge theories. The phase shifts of the S0, P1, and S2 waves obtained are in good agreement with experimental results. The only numerical inputs are the quark mass m_{q}, the QCD scale Λ_{QCD}, the pion mass m_{π}, and the pion decay constant f_{π} without any other experimental data.

Measurement of Electron-Neutrino Charged-Current Cross Sections on ^{127}I with the COHERENT NaIνE Detector.

Phys Rev Lett

December 2023

Center for Experimental Nuclear Physics and Astrophysics and Department of Physics, University of Washington, Seattle, Washington 98195, USA.

Using an 185-kg NaI[Tl] array, COHERENT has measured the inclusive electron-neutrino charged-current cross section on ^{127}I with pion decay-at-rest neutrinos produced by the Spallation Neutron Source at Oak Ridge National Laboratory. Iodine is one the heaviest targets for which low-energy (≤50  MeV) inelastic neutrino-nucleus processes have been measured, and this is the first measurement of its inclusive cross section. After a five-year detector exposure, COHERENT reports a flux-averaged cross section for electron neutrinos of 9.

Kepler problem and chiral effective dynamics.

Phys Rev E

December 2022

Department of Computer Science, Faculty of Physics and Applied Informatics, University of Lodz, 149/153 Pomorska Street, 90-236 Lodz, Poland.

It is shown that by an appropriate canonical transformation, Kepler dynamics can be put in the form which allows one to exhibit the structure of the symmetry transformations related to the superintegrability. They appear to fit nicely into a general scheme of nonlinear realizations. In new coordinates, the Kepler dynamics results from dimensional reduction of that describing low-energy mesons with spontaneously broken chiral symmetry.

Low energy SUSY confronted with new measurements of W-boson mass and muon g-2.

Sci Bull (Beijing)

July 2022

School of Physics, Zhengzhou University, Zhengzhou 450000, China; CAS Key Laboratory of Theoretical Physics, Institute of Theoretical Physics, Chinese Academy of Sciences, Beijing 100190, China. Electronic address:

The new CDF II measurement of W-boson mass shows a 7σ deviation from the standard model (SM) prediction, while the recent FNAL measurement of the muon g-2 shows a 4.2σ deviation (combined with the BNL result) from the SM. Both of them strongly indicate new physics beyond the SM.

An updated review of the new hadron states.

Rep Prog Phys

December 2022

School of Physics and Center of High Energy Physics, Peking University, Beijing 100871, People's Republic of China.

The past decades witnessed the golden era of hadron physics. Many excited open heavy flavor mesons and baryons have been observed since 2017. We shall provide an updated review of the recent experimental and theoretical progresses in this active field.
