Glecaprevir/pibrentasvir (GLE/PIB) is an approved guideline-recommended chronic hepatitis C virus infection treatment. GLE/PIB coadministration with ethinyl oestradiol (EE) is not recommended in current labels owing to a Phase 1 study observing Grade ≥2 alanine aminotransferase (ALT) elevation in 2 out of 12 healthy women cotreated for 11 days with GLE/PIB and oral contraceptive (OC) containing 35 μg/250 μg EE/norgestimate. No Grade ≥2 elevation was observed with low-dose (20 μg) EE (n = 14).

Objective: To investigate the potential changes of glucose metabolism and glucose transporter protein (GLUT) in the visual cortex of formally deprived amblyopic rats, as well as the effects of enriched environments on the levels of nerve conduction and glucose metabolism in the visual cortex of amblyopic rats.

Methods: 36 rats were randomly divided into three groups: CON + SE (n = 12), MD + SE (n = 12) and MD + EE (n = 12). The right eyelids of both MD + SE and MD + EE groups were sutured.

Thirty Merino rams were used to determine the effect of four management systems of rams on semen quality during the anoestrous season. Animals were divided into four groups: Artificial-Photoperiod group (AP; n = 8), which were isolated from females and exposed to artificial long days (16 hr/d) from 1 Feb to 15 Mar; Natural-Photoperiod (NP; n = 8), isolated from females and exposed to the natural photoperiod throughout the experiment; Oestrous-Ewe group (EE; n = 7), housed in a pen adjacent to another pen that housed three ewes in oestrus, and Anestric-Ewe group (AE; n = 7), housed adjacent to another pen that housed three ovariectomized ewes. From 20 Mar to the end of May (10 weeks), semen samples were collected weekly, and blood samples were collected to determine plasma testosterone concentrations.

Environmental enrichment (EE) is a therapeutic paradigm that consists of complex combinations of physical, cognitive, and social stimuli. The mechanisms underlying EE-mediated synaptic plasticity have yet to be fully elucidated. In this study, we investigated the effects of EE on synaptic vesicle-associated proteins and whether the expression of these proteins is related to behavioral outcomes.

Here, we report two three-dimensional metal-organic frameworks of formula [Co(2)(4-ptz)(2)(bpp)(N(3))(2)](n) (1) and [Co(3)(OH)(2)(bdt)(2)(bpp)(2)(H(2)O)(2)](n) (2), which were synthesized by hydrothermal reaction from the respective tetrazole ligand (5-(4-pyridyl)tetrazole (4-H-ptz) for 1 and 5,5'-(1,4-phenylene)bis(1-H-tetrazole) (H(2)bdt) for 2), long and flexible pyridyl-containing ligand 1,3-bi(4-pyridyl)propane (bpp), NaN(3), and CoCl(2). Both 1 and 2 consist of well-isolated one-dimensional cobalt(II) alternating chains further linked by the bpp and/or the tetrazole ligand, while their chain structures are totally different. The chains of 1 are formed by Co(2+) ions bridged by single μ-EE-N(3) and triple (μ-EO-N(3))(μ-tetrazole)(2) alternately, whereas the Co(2+) ions are bridged by μ(3)-OH to form Co(3)(OH)(2) chains in compound 2.
