Leucine has gained recognition as an athletic dietary supplement in recent years due to its various benefits; however, the underlying molecular mechanisms remain unclear. In this study, 20 basketball players were recruited and randomly assigned to two groups. Baseline exercise performance-assessed through a 282-foot sprint, free throws, three-point field goals, and self-rated practice assessments-was measured prior to leucine supplementation.

Background: Chemical-induced acute lung injury is characterized by impaired epithelial regenerative capacity, leading to acute pulmonary edema. Numerous studies have investigated the therapeutic potential of endogenous stem cells with particular emphasis on alveolar type 2 epithelial (AEC2) cells owing to their involvement in lung cell renewal. Sox9, a transcription factor known for its role in maintaining stem cell properties and guiding cell differentiation, marks a subset of AEC2 cells believed to contribute to epithelial repair.
View Article and Find Full Text PDFLearning engagement has attracted increasing interest in recent years, with teacher support, academic self-efficacy, psychological resilience, and positive academic emotion identified as key factors. However, the moderated mediating mechanisms between teacher support and learning engagement remain unexplored. This study aimed to investigate the roles of academic self-efficacy and psychological resilience as mediators, and positive academic emotion as a moderator, in the relationship between teacher support and secondary school students' learning engagement, from the perspective of the Self-determination Theory and Emotion Regulation Theory.
