Quantum dot (QD) light-emitting diodes (QLEDs) are promising candidates for next-generation displays because of their high efficiency, brightness, broad color gamut, and solution-processability. Large-scale solution-processing of electroluminescent QLEDs poses significant challenges, particularly concerning the precise control of the active layer's thickness and uniformity. These obstacles directly impact charge transport, leading to current leakage and reduced overall efficiency.

Charge detection mass spectrometry (CD-MS) is an emerging single-particle technique where both the / and charge are measured individually to determine each ion's mass. It is particularly well-suited for analyzing high mass and heterogeneous samples. With conventional MS, the loss of charge state resolution with high mass samples has hindered the direct coupling of MS to separation techniques like size exclusion chromatography (SEC) and forced the use of lower resolution detectors.

Recent theory and experiments have shown how the buildup of a high-concentration polymer layer at a one-dimensional solvent-air interface can lead to an evaporation rate that scales with time as and that is insensitive to the ambient humidity. Using phase field modelling we show that this scaling law constitutes a naturally emerging robust regime, diffusion-limited evaporation (DLE). This regime dominates the dynamical state diagram of the system, which also contains regions of constant and arrested evaporation, confirming and extending understanding of recent experimental observations and theoretical predictions.

This study aimed to elucidate the physical mechanisms underlying this phenomenon by analyzing the ex vivo filling process in rat from a fully voided state to complete distension, without preconditioning, using three complementary imaging modalities. High-resolution micro-CT at 10.

Here, we report that by using an overdriven intense laser in a long waveguide with high-pressure gas, phase matching can be achieved in three distinct "regimes". In the third regime, favorable phase matching is achieved at near-axis positions to enhance harmonic yields.
