8-oxo-7,8-dihydro-2'-dexyoguanine (8-oxo-dG) can be tautomerized to a 6-enolate,8-keto tautomer through nearby-NH deprotonation at elevated pH. In this work, the N3-protonated 8-oxo-dG tautomers in deuterated pH-buffer solutions were studied using steady-state UV/Vis, FTIR, and ultrafast two-dimensional IR spectroscopies. The presence of 6,8-diketo and C6-anionic tautomers at neutral to basic conditions (pD = 7.

Molecular lanthanide (Ln) complexes are promising candidates for the development of next-generation quantum technologies. High-symmetry structures incorporating integer spin Ln ions can give rise to well-isolated crystal field quasi-doublet ground states, i.e.

Electronic relaxation dynamics of neutral Au(SCH) monolayer-protected clusters (MPCs), following excitation of the mixed 15 875 cm charge transfer resonance, were studied using femtosecond transient absorption (fsTA) and two-dimensional electronic spectroscopy (2DES). The excited carriers relax by three different mechanisms, including an ∼100 fs HOMO to HOMO hole transfer, picosecond HOMO to HOMO hole transfer, and subsequent electron-hole recombination that persisted beyond the hundreds of picoseconds measurement range. The fsTA data revealed two transient bleach components at 15 820 and 15 625 cm, where the lower frequency component exhibited a delayed first-order buildup of 80 ± 25 fs that matched the decay of the high-energy bleach component (110 ± 45 fs).

Background: It becomes clear that the increase in the density of marker panels and even the use of sequence data didn't result in any meaningful increase in the accuracy of genomic selection (GS) using either regression (RM) or variance component (VC) approaches. This is in part due to the limitations of current methods. Association model are well over-parameterized and suffer from severe co-linearity and lack of statistical power.

We study the motion of a buoyant or a nearly neutrally buoyant nano-sized spheroid in a fluid filled tube without or with an imposed pressure gradient (weak Poiseuille flow). The fluctuating hydrodynamics approach and the deterministic method are both employed. We ensure that the fluctuation-dissipation relation and the principle of thermal equipartition of energy are both satisfied.
