: This study examined the influence of competition level and player position on shooting accuracy and kinematic parameters in U18 male basketball players, focusing on two-point jump shots and free throws. : Thirty-eight higher-level (HL-group) and forty-one lower-level (LL-group) participants, categorized into guard, forward, and center subgroups, completed a two-point basketball shooting test, followed by a free-throw shooting test after a 30 min interval. These tests were administered using a crossover, counterbalanced approach with the Latin square method to ensure effective randomization.

Many flights, with their precise positioning capabilities, have provided rich inspiration for designing insect-styled micro air vehicles. However, researchers have not widely studied their flight ability. In particular, research on the maneuverability of using integrated kinematics and aerodynamics is scarce.

Objective: Camptocormia has been considered to contribute to vertical gait instability and, at times, may also lead to forward instability in experimental settings in Parkinson's disease (PD). However, these aspects, along with compensatory mechanisms, remain largely unexplored. This study comprehensively investigated gait instability and compensatory strategies in PD patients with camptocormia (PD+CC).

Background: The lateral locking plate for the proximal humerus is currently the most commonly used surgical procedure for the treatment of elderly proximal humeral comminuted fractures. Previous studies have found that the rate of postoperative complications in patients of proximal humerus fractures with medial column involvement is relatively high. Through biomechanical methods, this study aims to investigate the effectiveness of the conventional lateral locking plate fixation along with the addition of the metacarpal supporting plate on the medial column in the treatment for proximal humeral fractures involving the medial column.

Aim: Class II Division I malocclusion is common in pediatric orthodontics, and is often associated with malocclusion and poor muscle functionality. However, research on post-treatment changes in maxillomandibular dimensions, excluding normal development influences, is limited. Therefore, this study aimed to investigate the effects of Myobrace® appliance and targeted muscle functional training on maxillomandibular dimensions in children with Class II Division I malocclusion, compared to directed oral muscle training alone.
