Activating the lattice oxygen can significantly improve the kinetics of oxygen evolution reaction (OER), however, it often results in reduced stability due to the bulk structure degradation. Here, we develop a spinel FeCoCrO with active lattice oxygen by high-throughput methods, achieving high OER activity and stability, superior to the benchmark IrO. The oxide exhibits an ultralow overpotential (190 mV at 10 mA cm) with outstanding stability for over 170 h at 100 mA cm.

Microbial communities play crucial roles in shaping natural ecosystems, impacting human well-being, and driving advancements in industrial biotechnology. However, associating specific metabolic functions with bacteria proves challenging due to the vast diversity of microorganisms within these communities. In the past decades stable isotope probing (SIP) approaches, coupled with vibrational spectroscopy, have emerged as a novel method for revealing microbial metabolic roles and interactions in complex communities.

The chemistry of copper-dioxygen complexes is relevant to copper enzymes in biology as well as in (ligand)Cu-O (or Cu-O) species utilized in oxidative transformations. For overall energy considerations, as applicable in chemical synthesis, it is beneficial to have an appropriate atom economy; both O-atoms of O are transferred to the product(s). However, examples of such dioxygenase-type chemistry are extremely rare or not well documented.

Fourier-transform microwave spectroscopy has been applied for the 13C/18O-substituted tropolone to observe tunneling-rotation transitions as well as pure rotational transitions. The tunneling-rotation transitions were observed between the 13C-4 and -6 forms as well as between 13C-3 and -7, between 13C-1 and -2, and between 18O-8 and -9 (we denote these tunneling pairs as 13C-46, etc., below) although they have an asymmetric tunneling potential due to the difference in the zero point energy (ZPE).
