The approaches to design and control intermolecular interactions for a selective enhancement of specific process(es) are of high interest in technologies using molecular materials. Here, we describe how π-π stacking enables control over the heavy-atom effect and spin-orbit coupling (SOC) through dimerization of an organic emitter in solid media. π-π interactions in a red thermally activated delayed fluorescence (TADF) emitter afford specific types of dimers.

Background: Conventional quantitative MRI (qMRI) scan is time-consuming and highly sensitive to movements, posing great challenges for quantitative images of individuals with involuntary movements, such as Huntington's disease (HD).
Purpose: To evaluate the potential of our developed ultra-fast qMRI technique, multiple overlapping-echo detachment (MOLED), in overcoming involuntary head motion and its capacity to quantitatively assess tissue changes in HD.
Study Type: Prospective.

Purpose: The present work aims to evaluate the performance of three-dimensional (3D) single-shot stack-of-spirals turbo FLASH (SOS-TFL) acquisition for pseudo-continuous arterial spin labeling (PCASL) and velocity-selective ASL (VSASL)-based cerebral blood flow (CBF) mapping, as well as VSASL-based cerebral blood volume (CBV) mapping.
Methods: Digital phantom simulations were conducted for both multishot echo planar imaging and spiral trajectories with intershot signal fluctuations. PCASL-derived CBF (PCASL-CBF), VSASL-derived CBF (VSASL-CBF), and CBV (VSASL-CBV) were all acquired using 3D multishot gradient and spin-echo and SOS-TFL acquisitions following background suppression.

Electron paramagnetic resonance (EPR) spectroscopy is a powerful method to characterize the local framework structure of nanoporous materials during the dihydrogen isotopologue adsorption process. It also allows for exploring the adsorption sites of the dihydrogen isotopes and monitoring their desorption characteristics on the microscopic scale. The paramagnetic spin probes in the form of transition metal ions or organic radicals are required for EPR spectroscopy and are introduced either at the framework lattice position or in the pores of the metal-organic frameworks.

Multi-resonance thermally activated delayed fluorescence (MR-TADF) emitters have been actively employed in high-resolution solution-processed organic light emitting diodes (OLEDs) due to their excellent color purity. Nonetheless, they are always confronted with intrinsic slow spin flip of triplet excitons, impeding the electroluminescence properties, especially in non-sensitized OLEDs. Herein, we constructed intramolecular charge transfer (ICT) assisted MR-TADF emitters by grafting donor-acceptor-type moieties with a - or -substitution as a pendant on an organoboron multi-resonance core.
