Optical responses of twisted bilayer graphene at targeted wavelengths can be amplified by leveraging energy levels of van Hove singularities (VHS) via tuning periods of moiré superlattices. Therefore, precise control of twist angles as well as the moiré superlattices is necessary for fabricating integrated optoelectronic devices such as photodetectors and emitters. Although recent advances in twist angle control help the observation of correlated states in twisted magic-angle graphene structures, the impact of such precise control on enhanced optical absorption is still under investigation.

Understanding and controlling the electronic properties of two-dimensional materials are crucial for their potential applications in nano- and optoelectronics. Monolayer transition metal dichalcogenides have garnered significant interest due to their strong light-matter interaction and extreme sensitivity of the band structure to the presence of photogenerated electron-hole pairs. In this study, we investigate the transient electronic structure of monolayer WS on a graphene substrate after resonant excitation of the A-exciton using time- and angle-resolved photoemission spectroscopy.

In this study, the rhombohedral crystalline pure phase BiFeO (BFO) of irregularly shaped spherical particles of ≈100 nm and energy bandgap of ≈2.31 eV are synthesized by sol-gel auto-combustion method and explored as electrode material for photo-assisted supercapacitor. The electronic structure studies revealed that the coexistence of heterovalent Bi and Fe elements accelerated the electrochemical redox kinetics and photo-assisted charge storage properties.

Solid-phase rare earth monoxides have been recently synthesized thin film epitaxy. However, it has been difficult to synthesize heavy rare earth monoxides owing to their severe chemical instability. In this study, rocksalt-type heavy rare earth monoxides REOs (RE = Tb, Dy, Er) were synthesized for the first time, as single-phase epitaxial thin films.
