Polyetheretherketone (PEEK) is a high-performance polymer material for developing varying orthopedic, spine, cranial, maxillofacial, and dental implants. Despite their commendable mechanical properties and biocompatibility, the major limitation of PEEK implants is their low affinity to osseointegrate with the neighboring bone. Over the last two decades, several efforts have been made to incorporate bioactive components such as bioceramic particles in PEEK to enhance its osseointegration capacity.

Avoiding severe structural distortion, irreversible phase transition, and realizing the stabilized multielectron redox are vital for promoting the development of high-performance NASICON-type cathode materials for sodium-ion batteries (SIBs). Herein, a high-entropy NaVFeTiMnCr(PO) (HE-NaTMP) cathode material is prepared by ultrafast high-temperature shock, which inhibits the possibility of phase separation and achieves reversible and stable multielectron transfer of 2.4/2.

Renewable energy-driven electrocatalytic nitrate reduction reaction presents a low-carbon and sustainable route for ammonia synthesis under mild conditions. Yet, the practical application of this process is currently hindered by unsatisfactory electrocatalytic activity and long-term stability. Herein we achieve high-rate ammonia electrosynthesis using a stable amorphous/crystalline dual-phase Cu catalyst.

Formamidinium lead triiodide (FAPbI) is considered the most promising composition for high-performing single-junction solar cells. However, nonalloyed α-FAPbI is metastable with respect to the photoinactive δ-phase. We have developed a kinetic modulation strategy to fabricate high-quality and stable nonalloyed α-FAPbI films, assisted by cogenetic volatile iodine intercalation and decalation.

Estimating rare event kinetics from molecular dynamics simulations is a non-trivial task despite the great advances in enhanced sampling methods. Weighted Ensemble (WE) simulation, a special class of enhanced sampling techniques, offers a way to directly calculate kinetic rate constants from biased trajectories without the need to modify the underlying energy landscape using bias potentials. Conventional WE algorithms use different binning schemes to partition the collective variable (CV) space separating the two metastable states of interest.
