Objective: Our objective was to determine the ease of installation and use of relatively inexpensive and free software applications that allow Macintosh users to receive and view CT images from a Digital Imaging and COmmunication in Medicine-compliant imaging network.
Conclusion: Simple-to-use Macintosh-based options to transfer and view images are readily available and easily installed by users with minimal computer expertise.

Molecular imaging has significantly advanced the detection and analysis of in vivo metabolic processes, while single-modal techniques remain limited. Dual-modal imaging, particularly positron emission tomography (PET)-based combinations has emerged as a powerful solution, offering enhanced capabilities through integration with magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) or near-infrared fluorescence (NIRF) imaging. This review highlights recent progress in PET-based dual-modal imaging, focusing on the development of various bimodal probes derived from antibodies, nanoparticles, and peptides, and key applications including image-guided surgery and disease assessment.

The efficacy of epidural blood patch (EBP) is highly variable, and often, clinicians are unable to identify the underlying reasons for treatment failure. A 36-year-old parturient underwent a "blind" epidural blood patch (EBP) without image guidance but failed to obtain relief from a postural headache related to the labor epidural. During the second EBP, an intact plica mediana dorsalis (PMD) was visualized in the anterior-posterior fluoroscopic view after injection of contrast, and autologous blood was injected on both sides of the PMD, leading to the complete resolution of headache symptoms.

Background: Ultrasound has become an important aspect of emergency medicine due to its wide availability and portability for bedside investigations. Understanding some important ultrasound findings can aid in diagnosis and management.
Key Findings: We present a case of a 65-year-old smoker who presented with shortness of breath and hemoptysis and was in respiratory failure upon arrival in the emergency department.
Aim: This study investigated the accuracy of intraoral scanner (IOS) based on different image acquisition technologies in the field of presurgical-orthopedictreatment (PSOT) in neonates with cleft.
Methods: Dental cast models of clinical situations representing unilateral cleft-lip-palate(UCLP), bilateral cleft-lippalate( BCLP) and cleft-palate(CP) with reference PEEK-scanbodies (Cares RC Mono-Scankörper, Straumann, Switzerland) were scanned utilizing four IOS systems: CareStream-CS3600®(CS), Medit-i500®(MD), Cerec-Omnicam®(SO), 3Shape-Trios-3®(TS). One calibrated operator made 5 scans from each model using each IOS (N=60).

Background: Management of respiratory motion during radiation therapy is essential for accurate dose delivery and minimizing the risk to organs. In diagnostic imaging, respiratory monitoring is required for confirmation of breath-hold and four-dimensional computed tomography (CT) reconstruction. Although respiratory monitoring systems are widely used in radiation therapy, they are not often used for diagnostic imaging, where they could improve image quality.
