We report a case of congenital fibropapillomatosis in the head and neck of a piglet from a swine breeding farm where sporadic cutaneous papillomas of the prepuce and scrotum had previously occurred in several boars. Histologically, the tumor consisted of multiple exophytic, papillary projections composed of branching, densely cellular, fibrovascular stalks covered by hyperplastic keratizing squamous epithelium. Ultrastructural examination failed to reveal viral particles. Cutaneous papillomatosis is rare in swine. To the best of our knowledge, this is the second report of congenital fibropapillomatosis in pigs.

A male Holstein-Friesian calf was born with multiple, cauliflower-like, pale pink cutaneous masses on the head and limbs. On histopathological examination, the cutaneous masses were diagnosed as congenital cutaneous fibropapillomatosis. Those lesions involved focal proliferation of sebaceous gland in the dermis.

Congenital fibropapillomatosis of the gingiva and oral mucosa and epidermal hyperplasia of the lip are described, for the first time, in two newborn lambs. Expression of the E5 oncoprotein of bovine deltapapillomavirus types 2 (BPV-2) and -13 (BPV-13) was detected in both fibropapillomas and the hyperplastic epidermal cells suggesting the BPV infection was the cause of the proliferative lesions. No DNA sequences of BPV-1 and BPV-14 were detected.

Multiple yellowish-white, cauliflower-like mass lesions on the skin of the head and back in a 4-month-old piglet were pathologically examined. These lesions had developed before the weaning period. Histologically, the cutaneous neoplasms were characterized by papillary outgrowth of connective tissue covered by thick epidermis.
