Abstract: Positronium and muonium, as purely leptonic atoms without internal structure, provide ideal systems for high-precision tests of quantum electrodynamics (QED) and measurements of fundamental constants. However, the high velocities of these lightweight atoms complicate precision spectroscopy, particularly in the 1 S-2 S transition, due to transit time broadening and second-order Doppler shifts. To overcome these challenges, we propose a novel method combining two-photon Ramsey spectroscopy with a technique to correct the second-order Doppler shifts on an atom-by-atom basis.

Harnessing second-order processes enables new control schemes in quantum dynamics. We show that the Landau-Zener-Stückelberg-Majorana (LZSM) transition can be generalized to a virtual-state process in a three-level system, employing a phase modulated drive whereby two photons excite the system from the first to the third level while avoiding the second one. We implement experimentally this process in a transmon, achieving 98% population transfer.

Phosphinic acid is unique among oxyacids of phosphorus, as it has the ability to form cyclic dimers intermolecular hydrogen bonding, analogous to carboxylic acid dimers with exceptional stability and higher dimerization enthalpies due to stronger hydrogen bonding interactions. The strength of the hydrogen bond with different combinations of substituents on the monomeric units can be effectively studied by evaluation of electric fields along the hydrogen-bonded OH donor groups. The correlation between OH stretch vibrational frequency and electric field was linear with average Stark tuning rates of 45.

Two squaraine dyes ("blue colored" SQ258 and "green colored" SQ259) active in the near-infrared spectral range were co-sensitized with popular commercial dyes (D35 and N719) and their photophysical characterizations were performed using stationary and time-resolved spectroscopic techniques. The dye mixtures, D35:SQ258 and N719:SQ259 demonstrated a better photovoltaic performance when compared with their individual photovoltaic efficiencies. The studied different DSSC configurations using squaraine dyes and mixtures in the devices with thin TiO layer show the potential application in multi-color semi-transparent cells.

Patient involvement and engagement (PI&E) in health care and research has gained prominence, shifting towards person-centred approaches and shared decision making. Patients actively participating in health care design and research lead to better quality and efficiency of care. However, implementing meaningful PI&E is challenging and requires adequate resources and evaluation frameworks so that it does not result in tokenism.
