Background: Four-dimensional (4D) flow cardiovascular magnetic resonance (CMR) shows promise for quantifying mitral regurgitation (MR) by allowing for direct regurgitant volume (RVol) measurement using a plane precisely placed at the MR jet. However, the ideal location of a measurement plane remains unclear. This study aims to systematically examine how varying measurement locations affect RVol quantification and determine the optimal location using the momentum conservation principle of a free jet.

The present study examined theoretic measure and thermodynamic properties of energy levels and wave functions for a combination of these two potentials. This study examines heat transfer and nanofluid-enhanced blood flow behaviour in stenotic arteries under inflammatory conditions, addressing critical challenges in cardiovascular health. The blood, treated as a Newtonian fluid, is augmented with gold nanoparticles to improve thermal conductivity and support drug delivery applications. A hybrid methodology combining finite element method (FEM) for numerical modelling and artificial neural networks (ANN) for stability prediction provides a robust analytical framework.

Achieving highly tailored control over both the spatial and temporal evolution of light's orbital angular momentum (OAM) on ultrafast timescales remains a critical challenge in photonics. Here, we introduce a method to modulate the OAM of light on a femtosecond scale by engineering a space-time coupling in ultrashort pulses. By linking azimuthal position with time, we implement an azimuthally varying Fourier transformation to dynamically alter light's spatial distribution in a fixed transverse plane.
