We present the experimental finding of multiple simultaneous two-fold degeneracies in the spectrum of a Kerr oscillator subjected to a squeezing drive. This squeezing drive resulting from a three-wave mixing process, in combination with the Kerr interaction, creates an effective static two-well potential in the phase space rotating at half the frequency of the sinusoidal drive generating the squeezing. Remarkably, these degeneracies can be turned on-and-off on demand, as well as their number by simply adjusting the frequency of the squeezing drive.

Background: Approximately 20% of the United States' population lives in a state or jurisdiction where medical aid in dying (MAiD) is legal. It is unknown how physicians' own barriers are associated with their provision of the spectrum of MAiD services.
Objective: To measure physicians' religious and/or ethical barriers to providing MAiD services and how such barriers relate to physicians' intentions and behaviors.
We designed a grating coupler optimized for normal incidence and numerically demonstrate near-unity coupling in a standard 220-nm-thick silicon-on-insulator (SOI) technology. Our design breaks the vertical symmetry within the grating region by implementing three scattering sites per local period. This technique removes the need for bottom reflectors or additional material layers and can be realized using only two lithography masks.

Evolution of resonant three-wave interaction is governed by quadratic nonlinearities. While propagating localized modes and inverse scattering mechanisms have been studied, transient states such as rogue waves and breathers are not fully understood. Modulation instability modes can trigger growth of disturbances and the eventual development of breathers.
