Herein, we characterized the percentage of tacrolimus to the combined sirolimus and tacrolimus trough levels (tacrolimus %) observed during islet transplant-associated immune suppression therapy with post-transplant skin cancer. Although trough levels of tacrolimus and sirolimus were not different ( = 0.79, 0.

Introduction: This study evaluated the efficacy and safety of mycophenolate mofetil (MMF) associated with tacrolimus (TAC) in patients undergoing kidney-pancreas and kidney transplants, in comparison with cyclosporine (CyA), azathioprine (AZA), everolimus (EVL), sirolimus (SRL), manitimus (MAN), mizoribine (MZR), and enteric-coated mycophenolate sodium (ECMPS) in combination or monotherapy.

Methods: A systematic review and meta-analysis of randomized clinical trials was performed. The outcomes comprised acute rejection, graft loss, and adverse events.

Background: Cytomegalovirus (CMV) infection remains one of the most common viral pathogens affecting solid organ transplants (SOT). In 10 years of following the outcome of transplants, we noticed an increased incidence of CMV infection, along with increased use of rabbit anti-thymocyte globulin (rATG). The study aims to assess the incidence of active CMV infection and disease, response to treatment, and recurrence in a cohort of SOT.

Tuberculosis treatment without rifampin in kidney/kidney-pancreas transplantation: A case series report.

Transpl Infect Dis

Critical Care Unit, Instituto de Trasplante y Alta Complejidad (ITAC), Autonomous City of Buenos Aires, Argentina.

Background: The best approach to tuberculosis (TB) treatment in transplanted patients is still unknown. Current guidelines are based on evidence either extrapolated from other populations or observational. Rifampin-containing regimens have strong pharmacokinetic interactions with immunosuppressive regimens, with high rates of organ dysfunction and ∼20% mortality.

BACKGROUND There has been, to our knowledge, no reports on LifeCycle Pharma tacrolimus (LCPT) taken during pregnancy after simultaneous pancreas-kidney transplantation (SPK). Here, we report a 25-year-old female SPK recipient who gave birth to a healthy infant in posttransplant month 32. We analyzed the long-term graft function, obstetric/neonatal course, LCPT dosage, tacrolimus (TAC) levels, concomitant medication, and complications.
