NIDA's Cooperative Agreement program to reach out-of-treatment drug users and provide HIV prevention to reduce HIV drug and sexual risks was initiated in September of 1990. By August, 1994 the program included 23 sites which used various theoretical models to guide prevention strategies, add conceptual coherence to many aspects of behavior change, and allow for clearer interpretation of why behavior change occurs. This article reviews the theoretical models used at each of the NIDA Cooperative Agreement sites, the perceived helpfulness of the models, and recommendations for future initiatives.

Purpose: Our study aim was to understand the (human and organizational) factors influencing fall risk among people with hematological malignancies using the Reason model as a framework, providing insights that can inform the development of safe and effective fall management strategies.
Methods: Purposive sampling was employed to conduct semi-structured interviews with 13 people with hematological malignancies and 12 nurses from the hematology department of a tertiary grade A hospital in Guangzhou from December 2023 to February 2024. The topic analysis method was utilized to analyze the interview data.

Observing quantum mechanical characteristics in biological processes is a surprising and important discovery. One example, which is gaining more experimental evidence and practical applications, is the effect of weak magnetic fields with extremely low frequencies on cells, especially cancerous ones. In this study, we use a mathematical model of ROS dynamics in cancer cells to show how ROS oscillatory patterns can act as a resonator to amplify the small effects of the magnetic fields on the radical pair dynamics in mitochondrial Complex III.
