Purpose: The standards and regulations concerning the protection of patients and operator staff within the context of MRI are compiled. Resulting consequences regarding physical parameters are evaluated.

Material And Methods: The static magnetic field, heating effects caused by RF-fields and acoustical noise are outlined. The actual boundaries of these parameters are compared against the relevant published standards. Peripheral stimulation limits due to pulsed gradient fields have been determined in a new clinical study.

Results: Many parameters recommended for the normal operating mode are already exceeded during routine MRI. Referring to our clinical study, we found that limits recommended in the MRI relevant standards are unnecessarily conservative and can actually be doubled.

Conclusions: The applicable national and international standards and regulations show (at least partly) that serious differences in the definition of terms and values exist. The application of these standards would be much easier if they were made uniform. The values defined in the MR-specific standards should be adapted to actual knowledge concerning patients' safety.

Abundant evidence indicates that skeletal muscle plays a key role in regulating metabolic homeostasis. Therefore, maintaining healthy skeletal muscles is essential to good health. While prolonged muscle inactivity is known to cause oxidative stress and muscle loss, it remains unclear whether a shift from an active to a sedentary lifestyle induces similar effects.

The COVID-19 pandemic has led to significant societal disruptions, prompting the Indonesian government to implement various measures, including partial lockdowns or Community Activities Restrictions Enforcement (CARE), to curb the virus's spread. This research aims to assess the impact of various environmental parameters on Cirebon's estuaries, focusing on physical components (such as temperature, total solids [TS], and turbidity), chemical components (including pH, biochemical oxygen demand (BOD), dissolved oxygen (DO), nitrate, and phosphate), and microbiology components (specifically total coliforms). These comprehensive components have notably impacted environmental parameters during pre-, during, and post-COVID-19 pandemic based on the Water Quality Index (WQI) assessment in Cirebon's estuaries.

The main molecular mechanisms of the protective effect of minor bioactive compounds (BAC) of food, including rutin and hesperidin, along with antiradical and antioxidant activity, include their interaction with transcription factors modulating the functional state of the organism defense systems, one of which is the system of xenobiotic metabolizing enzymes. However, the data on their combined action are limited. of the research was to study the effect of rutin and hesperidin on the activity and gene expression of cytochrome P450 isoforms 1A and 3A (CYP1A1, CYP1A2, CYP3A) in rat liver at their separate and combined intake.

The overall results of a research project represent a synthesis of the individual results obtained from the participants, which together lead to the conclusions of the research. The importance of informing participants is emphasised in the recommendations on research ethics. However, this good practice is not systematic and can present various challenges in its implementation, despite the fact that participants often express a desire to be informed.

Clinical endpoints, such as overall survival, directly measure relevant outcomes. Surrogate endpoints, in contrast, are intermediate, stand-in measures of various tumour-related metrics and include tumour growth, tumour shrinkage, blood results, etc. Surrogates may be a time point measurement, that is, tumour shrinkage at some point (eg, response rate) or biomarker-assessed disease status, measured at given time points (eg, circulating tumour DNA, ctDNA).
